Last year's thread is a bit unwieldy, so I figure it's time to start a new one. Courtesy of "d3er," here are the top 36 men from last year's Regional meet (i.e. those who weren't labeled as seniors last year): 1 1 Peter Kosgei JR HAMILTON 133 25:18.8 5:06 2 4 Tim Chichester JR GENESEO ST. 111 25:46.0 5:11 3 6 Seth Dubois JR CORTLAND ST. 74 25:47.0 5:12 4 7 Dan Ramsey SO ST. Who's transferred? Who got a good recruiting class? Also, has anybody got similar info on the women, teams and individuals? |

If O'Connor can come back healthy (hurt last season?) he can make for a strong 7 for Geneseo. One of their top runners this track season. |

i believe hodge was actually a senior last year and will not be using his remaining season of eligibility |

I also heard that a bunch of rit grads are coming back after their co-ops to use one last season of eligibility. Look out for this team of super seniors. |

Also look out for Yernye of Plattsburgh. Injured part way through cross. Won ECAC outdoor 5k. |

fo real. Brindak and miller 1/2 in the ECAC 10k. Then you have hardbarger and burdick coming back i think. Very strong top 4 right there. |

To keep with the OP, here are the top 36 returners for the women with their breakdown by team: Cortland - 5 (4-11-15-17-21) SLU - 4 (1-2-6-35) Brockport - 4 (9-27-30-36) Geneseo - 3 (5-7-8) Plattsburgh - 3 (3-24-25) TCNJ - 3 (12-32-33) NYU - 2 (13-23) UR - 2 (14-16) There have been several rumors of some top women transferring too. I think Nate Slowe is going to be back too, guess he got injured one of his first years out. Now he's in grad school and out for blood. |

Vin, thanks for your work! We all know that, in general, frosh can affect the women's races much more than the men's; does anyone have a line on incoming classes? (For instance, I know that over the years Nick McDonough has gotten some great guys, mostly from NJ, for my "hometown" NYU Violets; don't know whether he had similar success recruiting women this year. I guess this would be his first recruiting class?) With Mark Krueger gone from Brockport, I have no idea whether this link will still work for Atlantic Region previews/info: http://www.acs.brockport.edu/~mkrueger/Atlantic_CC/home.htm Most likely not, I guess. Anyone know whether someone else has taken over the Atlantic XC site? |

I hear Oneonta is getting quite the lucrative frosh class for women. |

possibly phil jennings from TCNJ will take over the poll, as he was running the men's side last season. hopefully the site stays up because it was a very helpful reference for those following the region and for the athletes as well. |

Interesting. They have a lot of ground to make up, no? Anyone else have info on women's (or men's) incoming runners, esp. top runners? Hardly any Atlantic teams post their recruits on Dyestat, I've noticed... Also, where (if anywhere) did Mark Krueger end up? He seemed to have some success while at Brockport (and no, I'm not interested in his personal life, just wondering whether he's coaching anywhere). |

as far as I know MK isn't going to be coaching collegiately in the fall. I am pretty positive he is still coaching his club team the brockport distance project however. |

Yea, that's one I know is true. Another one I heard a lot of was Andi Palen. I know she was looking at Oregon and Florida State (and others?), but don't know where she ended up. |

Geneseo's guys team looks real good. Could they win? Haskle should be back this year. The St. Lawrence girls team could win with the addition of one or two solid incoming girls. I don't remember, why was the regionals course so slow last year? |

Yep, been banging out 110 mile weeks for the better part of the last two years. Kosgei is going to look ridiculous trying to hang on. |

You also have to look and see that Cortland didnt run 2 of their returners at regionals who ran at nationals. They should be a powerhouse again. |
