Jeter seems quite doped to me. I mean, I'd never heard of her before this year, and now she is running insanely fast, and her muscles are just ridiculous. 10.83 + ridiculously ripped at age 29 = doped.
you're correct.
sadly we have to face facts about other up-and-coming athletes as well.
that's right - elijah greer.
let's take a look at some statistics.
800 Meters
2006 Indoor 9th Grade 2:05.2
2006 Outdoor 9th Grade 2:01.6
2007 Outdoor 10th Grade 1:51.49a
2008 Indoor 11th Grade 1:52.66a
2008 Outdoor 11th Grade 1:47.68a
2009 Outdoor 12th Grade 1:48.97a
okay, 2:05 as a freshman. i can buy that. it's questionable, but i can buy it. i ran 2:06 in my first year of running and i sort of look like elijah greer. if it had been a 2:02, though...
and then we get to 2:01.6.
woah. HOLD THE PHONE. 2:01.6 from 2:05.2? that is 3.6 seconds in the course of a few MONTHS! that's absolutely insane. i would question the validity of the time itself but we all know high school meets have the most legitimate timing systems. i would also comment on whether his time was wind-aided, but his willowy figure would be buffeted in the wind like a piece of iceberg lettuce in one of those salad spinners. it's pretty clear he would just float away given a good gust.
i just can't stand for this sort of nonsense any more. i'm not even going to begin examining the physique differences as he's aged. other posters in this thread have clearly refuted the idea that you gain muscle as you grow older - i see no need to delve further.
so sayeth the epo pope - elijah greer dopes.
