Not that it really matters, but I have a newish pair of Streak XC's that I bleed through; anyone have any tricks for cleaning blood off of shoes without ruining them?
It's not really a big deal; they're going to get dirty anyways but I was curious.

Try a stain remover like Zout. Use a drop, let it soak for about 3-5 minutes then wash with cold water.
Buy red shoes.
Keep them dirty, gives them character.
I work in an ER and get blood on clothes/shoes regularly, peroxide and a little scrubbing usually works.
Hydrogen Peroxide. Nothing works better.
Quoting Jerry Seinfeld, "If you've got a t-shirt with blood stains all over it, maybe laundry isn't your biggest problem right now."
I think the same goes for shoes.
One poster said to leave them stained because it gives them charactor. I agree.
I'm going to have to agree with Jerry on this one. Keep the blood; solve the foot problem if possible.
Thanks for the tips.
The "foot problem" was because I was stupidly running intervals in the rain without socks; next time I'll solve the issue by being smart and wearing socks.
my thoughts exactly.

I always leave the blood in my shoes
Bleach
Bleach or Hydrogen Peroxide will weaken the fabric and thus shorten the life of the shoe. Just leave it.
Hydrogen peroxide will not weaken the fabric. Pour some on the bloodstains. Wait a few minutes while it dissolves them. Then drop the shoes in the washer and the blood will be gone.
Just don't put them in the dryer.
Seriously trust me, get rid of the shoes. You can't get all the blood off them even when you try.

HA on the user name. Good work
I've had great success with removing blood stains by using OxyClean. Prob. worked better than anything.
blisters...right.
Ideally, you would want to tackle the stain with water right away. The fresher the blood is, the more effective it is to clean it off. And then, apply some soap on it. Give it a good rub all over the stain. And if you're dealing with light-color fabric, hydrogen peroxide (which will act as bleach) will be a good option. In worse cases when the blood has dried, you'll need to put more work into it. First, apply some pre-treatment products which could be found anywhere on the market. Then use enzyme-based laundry detergent to wash off the stain. This could be applied to bed sheets, shoes, and any kinds of fabric or leather materials.
