Hey I saw some U of O guys waring the Victory Spikes in Cross Country races. Is this safe...??? Could the shoe last for more then one season of Cross Country...??? Will the shoe being so light be a plus for Cross Country...???

nope, horrible. light spikes= disaster
The U of Washington women wore them too. Both teams won national titles... so that might answer your question. I would think they would be fine on an all grass course. I prefer a hard spike plate the softer the ground and more cushion the harder the ground (flats for roads, xc spikes for uneven and hard packed ground).
your right they are light but i wore them in a road half mary with little problems.
I would definately suggest NOT wearing them.... Wore them for a race we crossed concrete once... I bruised my heel pretty bad because of the lack of support in them... if you are on a surface that is entirely grass... be my guest
they might've been wearing the motumbos. they look alot alike.
Are matumbos much better for cross?
