leave the poor kid alone....just because he's way better then many americans and beats them in the non 5km, doesn't mean everyone should go and riducle him for being older then he is(which he may be)...he's way faster than most o n this board anyways.i give him credit for coming to america from a third world country.it must have been a tough transition. congrats to him!! |

this has been discussed many times. personally, i still believe that this guy is 20 years old. check out www.mocorunning.com and go to the forums and do a search. basically nobody from the athletic dept at sherwood high school or montgomery county will say anything about this. i raised holy hell about this on the board because either one of two things happened here...... 1. he really is 20 and is a scam artist or 2. he lied about his age multiple times in road races the issue kind of went away in montgomery county maryland. this kid is talented however and since he's only running as a junior now, i expect this issue to come up a lot more next year. |

He first lived with his sister in Northern Virginia. Why do you think he ended up at Sherwood in MoCo? I'll bet they first tried to get him enrolled in a Fairfax County school using his real age of 20, and that's when they first learned you cannot go to high school in America if you are that old. Plan B, enroll in a Maryland school, this time claiming to be 18. |

If you know the details answer these question. who does he live with in Mo CO? If you don't answer this.. you are just another BS artist on this forum...that should just shut up.

i did not start this thread. this question is likely not going to go away either. what do you think is going to happen next year when this guy runs times even faster? more and more people are going to question his age. if haile did not want this to occur then he should not have filled out the race applications listing his age as 20. |

i just do not understand this. i've been screamed at so much on the mocorunning.com boards for bringing this up. the guy either lied about his age to get into road races or is lying about his age now. IT HAS TO BE ONE OF THEM. why the hell is everyone so protected of this guy? if he has nothing to hide about his age then come forward and clear the air. if he has valid docs that prove he is legally able to compete at the high school level then the conversation is over. |

I appreciate it you bringing it out in the open. No one likes a cheater, if that is the case. However, good luck fighting the establishment. He was admitted to the school with a birth certificate that satisifed the county, so, really what can be done? In some pictures, he looks older than some college runners. |
