I was ranked among the top three U.S. decathletes in the 80's by track & field news and I found this pretty funny on many levels. One, because I spent time around a few athletes listed (bo jackson when he and I were at Auburn and ran against Roger Kingdom as well.Second, the ONE constant among great athletes, is that over time what they are capable of doing, whether they posted a mark or not, becomes stuff of urban legend, growing more grand both over the years and as the extra pitchers of beer arrive at the bar as ding dong scenarios are discussed like this. With the exception of Bubka, who is probably the best athlete I have ever seen, a majority of the marks you list are simply this...bar-room fiction. I was also a contemporary of Kingdoms (was on one U.S. team with kingdom) and remember well when "the talk" started they were going to take up the decathlon and for both, it was as both their careers in the hurdles were fading. To take on the decathlon for either would have been about as successful as Renaldo's football career was., which is...it wasn't. Sure, they would be able to do the decathlon with some modest success, but let me tell you, THE reason a person can run a 12.9 hurdles is because they A. are all fast twitch muscle fiber and b.) THEY SPECIALIZE in their event. I have seen decathletes (dennis Adama, who was a 7'6" high jump specialist, drop to 6'9" once he became a full time decathlete. Myself, when I switched from the pole vault only at 18 I was going 16 feet, once I was not specializing in it, I dropped nearly 2 feet in the pole vault. Better yet, take a 10.0 100 meter man and put him in a 1500 and he will run a 6:30 and score zero points. The best proof of this is the following. There was a sprinter/long jumper that showed up at decathlon in Tallahasse Florida and he had never done a decathlon in his life. He ran the 100 in 10.32 auto, long jumped 26'4" high jumped 6'11" even threw the shot put 53 feet., then he ran 47.01 in the 400. At the time I had had the highest american score of the early season and I was wondering who the heck this guy was. Well, it is said that the difference between a sprinter and a decathlete is the second day, because of the following. Though this sprinter ran nearly 10.2 in the 100 meters, this does not not necessarily make you hurdler. He ran 24 seconds in the hurdles and he did not even fall...it was atrocious. He threw the shot far, but strenght alone is not measured in the discus or the javelin, finesse and coordination rule the day in those two events. He threw the discus 56 feet. He had never pole vaulted, and came in at 5'6" and actually pole vaulted nearly one foot less than he high jumped...yes, 6'0". The javelin was an equal disaster, something like 54 feet, even bounced it off his head once while he threw. And my final point. The 1500, with ALL fast twitch muscle, it looked as though he was finishing the Boston Marathon in the 1500, running very close to 7 minutes for the 1500.
So, here is guy that without any training, he nearly broke the american record in his first and only decathlon, scoring about 4,350 points his first day, I don't think he even scored an additional 1000 points on day two. I am here to tell you, I would love to see Wilt Chamberlin pole vault, or run the 1500. Same with the javelin, people think it is a test of throwing arm speed, but it is more a case and test of agility. Don't believe me? this past weekend Betty Wade, U.S. Heptathlete is a great athlete, strong, fast and can jump high. She has been stuck at a dismal 114 in the javelin for the past 4 years in the javelin. If it was all about strength (she throws 50 feet in the shot) then why can't she throw the javelin? I have seen this time and again., great, fast, strong athletes, (those skills are measured on the first day of a decathlon) Simply can't do the agility events of the discus, pole vault and javelin on the second day.(even great hurdlers that struggle with the discus, vault and javelin)
Below I put some comments on all of the athletes you listed. You give these guys way too much credit. Specializing in sport IS why they are good. Take away from Bubka the time to pole vault 4 hours a day and his vault would drop to 17.6 (what most decathletes do) You are dreaming if you think Roger Kingdom throws a college discus 176 ft(so why did Rafer Johnson's american decathlon record stand for 40 years? No, Kingdom may have thrown a high school discus but I even doubt that. (for both Jackson 149 with a high school discus and kingdom 175, you subtract 25 feet for the lighter discus, making their throw 125 and 150 respectively. As for jackson, yes, a great athlete, but you may not know, he won the Alabama decathlon (no pole vault or javelin (softball throw instead) he opted to not run the final event the 1500...why? because he would have looked bad and run about 7:15. He IS fast because he is ALL fast twitch muscle fiber.
I would ONLY believe the stats below if you posted a url that shows things like actual track meets where these great athletes posted these marks. I say they don't exist. (do you realize that Chamberlin throwing a 12 lb shot 56 is really only throwing an Olympic sized shot 48 feet? Again though, show me the results. Others listed, Roggy, I hung out with the guy...he was HUGE, I mean HUGE. He may have run 50.0 in 10th grade, but I would place money he and Udo Beyer would run...Roggy 62 seconds in the 400 and 6:15 in the 1500...Beyer, 93 seconds in the 400 and maybe 8 minuutes in the 1500...honestly I doubt he would finish the 1500 without stopping. Beyer in the hurdles? 29-34 seconds. Pole Vault, forget it. Even the javelin would be a disaster. I would eat my shorts if he broke 11.8 in the 100...ToPs. Read below what I wrote about the rest.
Allen Johnson 5’10 165, born in 1971, American 110m hurdler
10.42, 26’8 ½ lj, 46.4r, 12.92, 6’11hj (hs),
20.77, 52.00hurd, 49’8 triple
OF ALL YOU HAVE LISTED HERE, ONLY THE HURDLES (NOT EVEN KINGDOM THOUGH WOULD HAVE A CHANCE OF DOING GOOD IN A DECATHLON. (BUBKA TOO)
Herb Elliott, 5’11 150, Australian mile legend
10.6y, 51.0y, 3:54.5 mile, long jump 19’7 ½
23.4y, 1:50.8y, 2 miles 9:01
BEST MAN IN MY WEDDING RAND THE 1500 IN 3:37, i USED TO WORKOUT WITH HIM. HE COULD BARELY BRAKE 51.5 IN THE 400 AND COULD NOT BREAK 24 IN THE 200. I DOUBT HE WOULD JUMP MORE THAN 15 FEET IN THE LONG JUMP. IF ELLITO IS ONLY RUNNING 51 AND 23.4 IN THE 200, THERE IS NO WAY HE IS RUNNING A 10.6 HE IS PROBABLY ONLY RUNNING ABOUT 11.3 HAND 11.52 AUTO. PROVIDE THE URL OF A 10.82 FOR HIM.
Rudolf Harbig, born in 1913, German middle distance record holder
10.6, 46.0 400, 4:01 1500m, high jump 5’8 ¾, long jump 22’6 ½,21.5, 1:46 800m, GREAT TIMES FOR THE TIME. GREAT RUNNERS DON'T MAKE GREAT DECATHLETES. I WOULD GUESS IF HE RAN TODAY MAYBE A 6'4" HIGH JUMP. I WOULD SAY ON THIS ONE, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HIS SIZE OR THE ATHLETE TO COMMENT.
Valery Brumel 6’1 170, born in 1942, High Jump gold medalist w multiple WRs
10.5, 7’5 3/4hj, 25’1 long jump, 13’9 pole vault, 51’11 ¾ shot, also competed in javelin
Press 198lb, snatch 187lb, clean & jerk 242lb, squat 385lb,
HE PROBABLY WOULD MAKE A GOOD DECATHLETE, BUT AGAIN, LIKE ADAMA EXAMPLE, HE TOOK UP THE DECATHLON AND WATCHED HIS HIGH JUMP DROP 9 INHCES. AT 10.72 FAT HE LOOKS LIKE YOUR TYPICAL GREAT DECATHLETE, BUT HE IS NOT GOING TO BURN IT UP IN THE THROWS EITHER. AGAIN, SECOND DAY, HE WAS A SLIGHT, EVEN VERY SKINNY MAN., WITH NO HURDLING EXPERINCE, SECOND DAY COULD BE A DISASTER.
Ralph Boston, 6’1 165, born in 1935, Olympic long jump gold medalist
10.5, 27’5 (had 28’2 leap before falling back), 41’9 shot, 6’9hj (7’0 in practice), 13.7h, 125’6 disc, 13’9pv, 210’ javelin, total for 10 events was 8045 (5th best in history at time) I AGREE WITH BOSTON, BUT AGAIN, KNOCK HIS 27'5" DOWN 1.5 FEET. DANNY JACKSON WAS A GOOD DECATHLETE AT ARIZONA STATE, WHEN HE TOOK UP THE DECATHLON, HE DROPPED WAY BACK IN HIS LONG JUMP SUCCESS. I DOUBT A 210 JAVELIN, BUT WOULD BELIEVE IT ONLY IF YOU POSTED A URL. AGAIN, FAST IN THE 100 DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ABILITY TO HURDLE. 125'6" WITH A HIGH SCHOOL DISCUS IS ONLY 100 FEET WITH AN OLYMPIC ONE.
Thomas Malone, 165 Australia pro sprinter in 1880s
9.6y, 47.6y, hj 6’0 ½, 23’4 1/5 lj, 42’1 shot,
21.5y 1:51 1/4y, 48’6 triple KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS GUY. LOOKS GREAT FOR HIS TIME. PROBABLY COULD BE A GOOD DECATHLETE, BUT HONESTLY, HE IS REALLY NOT DOING THING ANY FASTER OR BETTER THAN THE DECATHLETES WE ALREADY HAVE
Glenn Davis 6’0 165, born 1934, Olympic hurdles champion and NFL receiver
10.3. 45.7, 14.3h, hj 6’8, pole 14’0, long jump 26’0
20.3, 1:52y, bench pressed 310 pounds, 49.5 400 hurdles, 22.5 200m low hurdles LOOKS LIKE A GREAT PROSPECT, BUT WITH ONLY WHAT I WOULD CALL MODERATE BENCH (LESS THAN I HAD AND COULD ONLY THROW SHOT ABOUT 46 FEET, NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT. HE HAS A GREAT LONG JUMP AND 10.6 100, BUT HAVE TO SAY, I BEAT PLENTY OF GUYS WITH THE SAME MARKS (EXCEPT THE INFLATED 400) BY SIMPLE BEING ABLE TO DO ALL FIVE EVENTS ON THE SECOND DAY, NOT JUST ONE. LOOKS LIKE A GOOD FIRST DAY GUY WOULD PROBABLY RUN 16.7 HURDLES, 90 FOOT DISCUS, 120 FOOT JAVELIN AND RUN ABOUT A 4:55 1500 AT THE END OF TWO 15 HOUR DAYS IN THE DECATHLON; (I RAN A 4:14 IN A DECATHLON BUT RAN 3:54 FRESH IN A MEET ONCE...SAYING, THT 1:52 800 DOES NOT MEAN A 4:15 FOR THIS GUY.
HEAVYWEIGHTS
Wilt Chamberlain, born in 1936, 7’1 270, NBA basketball legend
(some marks taken from Wilt’s claims…many question some of these)
10.9y, 48.8 (440y), 6’6 ¾hj, 22’8lj, 56 shot put (running marks done at 250 lbs)
1:58.6 (880 yds), 36” vertical jump, 50’+ triple jump
Later in life, bench pressed 500 lbs (probably at 310 lbs)
LETS SEE 11.12 FAT, 49.12, 6'6' 22'8" THESE ARE ALL GOOD DECATHLON MARKS BUT NOTHING TO JUSTIFY DROPPING OUT OF THE NBA. AS FOR HIS SHOT...I WEIGHED 168 POUNDS AND THREW A HIGH SCHOOL SHOT 56 FEET...IS 48 FEET WITH A COLLEGE SHOT. CHAMBERLIN BREAKING A 5:10 MILE? NOT. DAY TWO...HURLES 24 SECONDS, THE WOULD ACTUALLY BE TOO TALL TO EFFECTIVELY THREE STEP. DISCUS, MAYBE...,BUT I THINK JAVELIN AND DISCUS TAKE MORE FINESSE THAN JUST BRUTE STRENGTH. MY QUESTION IS, IF A GUY IS A GREAT ATHLETE AND IS LIKE 7'5", WHY CAN HE ONLY HIGH JUMP A FOOT UNDER HIS HEIGHT. I WAS 6 FEET AND HIGH JUMPED 6'10", MANY U.S. DECATHLETES JUMP 14 INCHES OVER THEIR HEADS.
Bruce Wilhelm, 6’3 299, Shot Putter
Shot 66’9, discus 205’9 (practice), 10.9y
58.0 (440yd), Hj 5’10 ½ (at 255 lbs)
2:21 800m, 5:45 mile, PV 11’6 (at 238 lbs)
IF HE REAN A 2:21 IN THE 800 AT 300 POUNDS I WILL SNIFF AVERY BRUNDAGES SHORTS IN HIS COFFIN RIGHT NOW. IF YOU GOT HIM DOWN TO A WEIGHT TO RUN 2:21 800, DROP HIS SHOT FROM 66 TO 54 (SAME AS DECATHLETE ROB MUZZIO AND DALEY THOMPSON AND HIS DISCUS TO 170...SAME AS BRYAN CLAY. I PREDICT NO ABILITY TO HURDLE, THROW THE JAVELIN OR POLE VAULT. 9 MINUTE 1500
Lonnie Shelton, 6’8 240, former NBA player, born 1955
59’7 shot (’75), 167’3 discus, lj 22’ +, hj 6’5, 9.9y 14.2 hurdle 21.9y (220y), 47’9 triple...AGAIN, DON'T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT HIM. HE LOOKS LIKE A GOOD PROSPECT FOR THE DECATHLON, BUT REALLY, NOTHING LISTED HERE IS ANY BETTER THAN WHAT CURRENT U.S. DECATHLETES DO. IF HIGH SCHOOL IMPLEMENTS ABOVE ARE THE MARKS THAT IS 51 WITH A 16 POUND SHOT IS USED AND 142 WITH A OLYMPIC 2 KILO DISCUS. AGAIN, AVERAGE U.S. DECATHLETE MARKS. IF YOU WANT THEM TO QUIT THEIR PRO JOBS, THEY BETTER BE BETTER THAN THIS.
Udo Beyer, 6’4 287, Olympic shot put champion
11.2, Shot 74’3, high jump 6’4
22’5 long jump (at lighter bodyweight)
223’4 hammer, bench pressed 627 lbs
1500 WILL BE 10 MINUTES. LONG JUMP AT 287...17'1", 400..WILL HAVE A HEART ATTACK AFTER VOMITING ON HIMSELF WITH 40 METERS TO GO AND RUN 74 SECONDS TOPS.POLE VAULT? ARE YOU INSANE?
Christian Okoye, 6’1 255, NFL running back
10.9y, long jump 23’10 (was probably lighter than 255 lbs for these marks), 59’2 ¾ shot, discus 212’4,
4.46 40y, hammer 219’7, benched 405, squatted 750, cleaned 395, vertical leap 35” AGAIN A GOOD PROSPECT, BUT NOTHING YOU LIST HERE IS NOT ALREADY BEING DONE BY U.S. DECATHLETES OVER THE LAST 45 YEARS., MAYBE 50.
Werner Gunthor. 6’6 285, Swiss Shot Put medalist
Javelin 245’8 (’81) 74’7 ¾ shot, 178’9 discus (’85), hj 6’6 ¾ (’85 at 264 lbs)
Standing long jump of 11’9, member of Swiss bobsled team
NOBODY WEIGHING 290 IS GOING TO BE WORTH A SWEDISH TURD IN THE DECATHLON. DROP HIS WEIGHT TO MAKE THESE JUMPING MARKS AND HIS JAVEINE DROPS TO 218, SHOT, 59 FEET...BUT FORGET ABOUT HURDLING, POLE VAULT OR A GOOD 1500.
IDEAL SIZE
Sergei Bubka, 6’1 190, born in 1963, PV gold medalist with multiple WRs
10.2, 26’9 long jump, 6’7hj, 20’2 pv
Reportedly his average speed during pole vaulting approach was 35.7 km/h (9.9 m/s, 22.2 mph) (which is very close to the average speed of a 100m sprinter).
BUBKA IS THE BEST ATHLETE IN THE WORLD (MAYBE DUTCH WARMERDAM IS BETTER WITH POLE VAULTING 15'9" IN A STIFF POLE) BUT THINK ABOUT THIS. WITHOUT SPECIALIZING, HE WOULD EXPECT HIS VAULT TO DROP TO 18'5" ABOUT WHAT AMERICAN, TIM BRIGHT VAULTED. IN FACT, I WOULD EXPECT BUBKA TO SCORE ABOUT WHAT TIM DID. I WOULD IMAGINE IF HE TOOK UP THE DECATHLON HE WOULD HAVE EQUAL SUCCESS. THIS IS PROBALBY THE ONLY PERSON ON THE LIST. BUT I HAVE TO SAY THIS. I DOUBT THAT ASHTON EATON OR BRYAN CLAY WOULD HAVE ANY TROUBLE BEATING HIM EITHER. WHICH PROVES WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY...YES...DECATHLES REALLY ARE THAT GOOD.
Jackie Robinson, 5’11 205, born in 1919, baseball star in 40s and 50s
9.7y (10.6), 48.5 (440y), 13’ pole vault, 25’6 ½ long jump
23.7 (220y hurdles)
10.82 FAT, 48.72, 25'6" LONG JUMP...SLOWER THAN EATON, AND JUST ABOUT EVERY OTHER U.S. DECATHLETE. PAPPAS WAS HUGE AND VAULTED 17'5" AND LONG JUMPED AS FAR. THE WORLD KNOW ROBINSON, NOBODY KNOWS PAPPAS, CLAY, O'BRIAN, EATON OR DAVE JOHNSON, I THINK THIS PROVES MY POINT. THESE GUYS ARE NOT ONLY AS GOOD AS ROBINSON, HE PALES BY COMPARISON...THIS PAST WEEKEND, EATON 400 46.3, 26 FOOT LONG JUMP, 10.2 100 METERS.
Roger Kingdom 6’1 205, born 1962, Olympic hurdles champion
10.4, 46.5, hj 7’2 ½, 25’0 long jump, 50’ shot put, 176’4 discus, 12.92 hurdles, 190’ javelin YOU SHOW ME A MEET RESULT WITH KINGDOM THROWING A 2 KILO OLYMPIC SHOT AND I WILL CLIP YOUR TOE NAILS WITH MY TEETH. SAME WITH THE SHOT PUT. TAKE AWAY HIS SPECIALIZATION TRAINING AND WATCH HIS HURDLE TIME DROP TO 13.6/8 LESS THAT WHAT EATON RUNS AND ABOUT WHAT TIM BRIGHT AND BOB COFFMAN RUN. i EVEN THINK THE 7/3" IS A STRETCH. lIKE NEHIMIAH, THERE WAS ONLY TALK IN THE TWILIGHT OF THEIR CAREERS FO TDOING THE DECATHLON, BUT WHY DID IT NOW HAPPEN? BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT'S HARD. THE TRAINING THE HOURS TO LEARN IT ALL.
Jim Brown, 6’1 220, born 1936, Hall of Fame NFL back and lacrosse player
10.0y, 6’3 high jump, 22’+ long jump, 155’ discus AGAIN, WITH THE EXCEPTION 10.28 100 METERS, NOTHING LISTED HERE IS ANYTHING MOST U.S. DECATHLETES DON'T DO.
Bob Roggy born in 1956, American javelin thrower
100 10.9, LJ 22', Shot 52', HJ 6'9", 400 50, 110 H 16.5, PV 16', Disc 150'+,Jav 314’3...SHOW ME RESULTS OF BOB ROGGY POLE VAULTING 16 FEET THE SAME YEAR HE THREW 314...SAME WITH HIGH JUMPING 6'9". HE SAT NEXT TO ON A BUS, HE WAS BIGGER THAN A BIG TIME WRESTLER AND HIS ARMS WERE PROBABLY 24 INCHES AROUND. I DO BELIEVE IS HE WA 80 POUNDS LIGHTER HE WOULD BE A GOOD DECATHLETE, BUT NOTHING MORE THAN WHAT OUR CURRENT ONES DO.
Woody Strode 6’4 215, born in 1914 (competed in 30s), played in NFL in 40s
50’ shot, 161’10 disc, pv 11’0, mile 5:00 (all at UCLA)
NOTHING OUTSTANDIGN HERE. LOOKS LIKE OUR CURRENT DECATHL
Bo Jackson 6’1 225, born in 1962, pro baseball and football player
10.39, 149’ discus (hs), won hs state decathlon title
48’8 tj (equivalent to 22/23’ long jump ?), ran a 4.12 40 yard dash
Threw a baseball 90 mph (200’+ javelin throw ?)
Bench pressed 400 lbs (strength and size for shot & discus)
NATURAL ATHLETE THAT DID NOT LIKE TO WORK. ALL FAST TWITCH. NEVER POLE VAULTED...BUT I DO BELIEVE, HAVING BEEN AROUND HIM IN COLLEGE HE COULD BEEN AT THE LEVEL OF OLYMPIC CHAMPION...MAYBE IN 1984, BUT NOT 2012. HE WAS MISSING THE ONE THING THOUGH, HE DID NOT LIKE TO WORKOUT WHEN HE WAS ON THE TRACK TEAM AT AUBURN. I CAN'T IMAGINE HIM WANTING TO LEARN THINGS LIKE THE HURDLES AND POLE VAULT THAT TAKE THREE YEARS TO BE GOOD AT. THAT IS THE ONE THING THAT WOULD HOLD BO BACK.
David Sime, 6’3 176, born in 1936, Olympic sprinter
10.2, 23’ lj, 152’ discus, 152’, 210’7 javelin
Press 180. 20.0y and 22.0 200 low hurdles
Renaldo Nehemiah, 6’1 177, Hurdles WR Holder and Pro Football Player
10.18, 44.73, 12.93 110h, 6’9 high jump, 13’8 pole, 25’0 long jump
20.36 200m, 1:52 800m, standing lj 10’4, 39” vertical jump, 55mH 6.82, bench pressed 310 lbs, clean and jerked 265 lbs, military pressed 275 lbs
PROBABLY THE ONLY PERSON THAT DESERVES TO BE CONSIDERED ON THE LIST. BUT AGAIN, BY TODAYS WORLD DECATHLON STANDARDS, NO...HE IS NOT THAT SPECIAL.GUYS0. LONG JUMP 26 PLUS, RUN 10.2 AND COULD BE RIGHT THERE WITH HIM. IN EVERY EVENT. YES HE CAN RUN 44.2 400, BUT SO WHAT WHEN HIS COMPEITIORS CAN RUN 45.8 AND LONG JUMP 1.5 FEET FURTHER AND HIGH JUMP 7'2". SKEETS COULD RUN 12.9 BUT WHAT WOULD HE RUN AT 8 AM IN A DECATHLON AFTER HAVING TO GET UP AND EAT BREAKFAST, DRIVE TO VENUE AND BE STIFF AS A BOARD? THAT 12/97 TURNS TO ABOUT 13.5..ABOUT WHAT TIM BRIGHT, AMERICAN DECATHLETE RUNS.
DECATHLETES COME IN IN ALL SHAPES AND SIZES, BUT ESPECIALLY TODAY, THE ATTEMPTS TO SAY THEY JUST AREN'T THAT GOOD ARE INSANE. HECK EATON RUNNING 46.2, LONG JUMPING 26 FEET, CLAY THROWING 180 IN THE DISCUS...i DON'T CARE IF YOUR ARE JACKIE ROBINSON OR BO JACKSON...YOU ARE NOT GOING TO DO THIS. AND THESE ATHLETES WHO ARE IN TRACK WHO STOP THEIR SPECIALIZATION, THEY WILL WATCH THE TIME SPENT FORM THEIR SPECIALTY JUST COME TO A HALT AS THEY EVOLVE INTO WHAT A DECATHLETE IS, GREAT ALL AROUND ATHLETES. YES, THE OLYMIANS...BETTER THAN MICHAEL JORDAN, JACKIE ROBINSON OR BO JACKSON.
WE ARE WHAT WE ARE, THE BEST ALL-AROUND TRACK& FIELD ATHLETES. IN THE WORLD FOR SOME, IN THE NATION FOR SOME, IN THEIR CONFERENCE FOR SOME, IN THEIR CITY FOR SOME. DON'T GET THE LOCAL CONFERENCE CHAMPION'S PERFORMANCES OR EVEN THE NCAA QUALIFIERS CONFUSED WITH THE ASHTON EATONS, BRYAN CLAYS, TOM PAPPAS' OF THE WORLD...THOSE JUST MENTIONED ARE SIMPLY THE BEST ATHLETES IN THE WORLD. I COULD ONLY THINK OF MAYBE TWO ATHLETES IN THE U.S FROM THE PROFESSIONAL RANKS WHO WOULD EVEN HINT AT BEING AS GOOD AS THE GUYS I JUST MENTION. FRANKLY, MICHAEL JORDAN IS NOT ONE OF THEM..WHY? I'VE SEEN THE DUDE PLAY BASEBALL AND LOOKS JUST LIKE THE SPRINTERS THAT SHOW UP ON DAY TWO OF A DECATHLON., HIS BODY AWARENESS OFF THE COURT IS "NO MAS" LAME, LIMP AND UNCOORDINATED. THE VERY THINGS THE SECOND DAY OF A DECATHLONS MEASURES IN THE HURDLES, DISCUS POLE VAULT AND JAVELIN.
DALEY THOMPSON, BRYAN CLAY, ROMAN SEBERLE, DAN OBRIAN, IF YOU THINK THERE IS EVEN ONE PRO ATHLETE TO COMPARE BRING IT ON. THESE GUYS REALLY ARE THE BEST ATHLETES IN THE WORLD. BAR NONE.
