Looks like the sun came out.
Hey, could you please keep us up to date on Lee Troop... Thanks.
The commentator criticizes Paul Pilkington to choose to win the LA Marathon instead of acting like a good little pacemaker by dropping. He assures us that London's pacemakers are contracted not to be competitive. Anyone else bothered by that attitude?
down to two pacemakers
25 secs or so off pace at this point.

Yes
malmo, can you set it up to provide a projection using the 'marginal pace' in addition to the average pace. He is currently running 14:55s, not the average of 14:49. The two will diverge by 20 seconds or so over 17km. He might be able to pick it up after everyone goes, but Geb has tended to run slightly faster first halfs. Of course, he has not reached his goal in those either.
I don't think he's going to make it.
8 seconds down on 2:04:55 pace at 30k.
Tergat 2003 Geb 2007
5-K 15:00 14:44
10-K 29:55 29:25
15-K 44:45 44:15
20-K 59:43 59:10
25-K 1:14:42 1:14:05
30-K 1:29:24 1:28:54 (approx)
35-K 1:43:59
40-K 1:58:36
-16, -30, -30, -33, -37, -30
this is the first 5km segment Geb has slipped
the last 7 miles or so will be telling
Not only will he miss the record, he will not when.
Unfortunately for Geb, his form & running style are such that, when the wheels come off, they really come off. He is not a guy who can have a bad stretch and then come back. Looks like he got too agressive once again. Too bad.

Ya think?
easy to catch up as 30-35k is slight downhill

correction 1:28:56 through 30km

Geb is all alone now

Very.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
