sorry for the shitty format. see here:
where does this rank webb in the world this year so far???
His 1:43.84 beat the PRs of everyone in the field, too.
"No one expects the Spanish Inquisition," but fewer people would have expected this. Note that Johnson also PRed in the 800 and Aaron Aguayo had a big PR in the steeple (Olinger also PRed).

The meet's site says Som has a PB of 1:43.85. That's why he said it.
To date, 2nd fastest 800 time in the world!! It's almost as if he is back in high school; running against sub-par competition. His frame-of-mind is completely different now. He has the "Pre" mentality. It's as if when he steps on the track, his statement to the rest of field is "F**K YOU ALL!! I'm going to kick all your asses!!" Amazing turn-around. I only hope he is doing it "cleanly."
By the way, does anyone have his 400 meter splits?

Webb was probably 49.9-50.1.
it's amazing how much confidence he is going to have now! This is an excellent run by A. Webb. I am excited for worlds.
Goddamn, I must be old! Since when did finishing first in a race become this?
""F**K YOU ALL!! I'm going to kick all your asses!!""

Why even stick that in at the end of the post? This kid ran 3:53 while in HS. That was 4 years ago. Aftern a longer stretch of healhty training these times are to be expected from someone with that sort of natural talent.
His last two races were indeed messages to the rest of the world: If you want a gold medal in Osaka, look for an event other than the 1500m. This race establishes him as the second fastest and the mile AR race as strongest middle distance runner in the world.
This is a deadly combination for his competition. Running smart through the rounds is all he should have to do.

Obviously, you misunderstood me. I was referring to his state of mind and confidence (much like Pre had). As seen in recent years (heck, going back to his freshman year of college), he has not portraied this much confidence on or off the track consistently....not since high school. Ergo, if you need a bit more insite on the meaning of a post, feel free to post again grandpa, I'll be glad to clarify further.
dude, you must be new to these parts. we dont take kindly to anything that has to do with pre on these boards.

I would have to agree with you. Although, I'm saying we have seen dramatic time drops from other athletes, and, unfortunately, they (not all) turned out to be dirty. I'm a Webb fan; have been since his freshman year in HS. And yes, he does have the talent...no question. All I was saying is that we do not need other "doped" athlete in US Track and Field; especially one that has our middle distance future in the palm of his hand.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
