I suffered this injury feb. 20 and have not run since. I took two weeks completely off and then have been doing my normal upper body weightlifting routine and my normal ab circuit since then. I haven't had anywhere near the excruciating pain that I had the first few days, but rather the spot is a little bit sore every night and I have twinges of more intense pain occasionally. My question is this: should I be feeling no pain in order to help heal the fracture and this dial back my activity to nothing at all, or should I just continue. Is it possible that I am slowing down the healing process by doing what I'm doing now. Also, I had the same injury in the same spot two years ago. Any people who have knowledge from a personal or professional perspective would be much appreciated.
