Ok, so the other day my girlfriend and I had a disagreement on the topic of whether or not running was a hobby. I, having run seriously for 10 years (High School, Division I, Post Collegiately) tried to explain to her that running isn't just a hobby to me, but a lifestyle.
I conceded that running can be a hobby if one does it for recreation and doesn't take it seriously, but for others it is a lifestyle. It can shape the way you eat, drink, sleep, the things you participate in and even your mindset.
Is there anyway to get this through to her, or is it like trying to describe color to a blind person?
