Talking about being DUMB!!!!!!!!!!! Stress fractures DO NOT heal in 3 weeks my friend. I don't care what you were taking! Only an idiot would try to run on it after 3 weeks!

I don't think anti-inflammatories helped you because you were dumb and didn't let your body fully heal before trying run on an injury... What you should have been doing instead of just taking anti-inflammatories was, stretching, icing, elavating and heating before activity... Also, Ibuprofen isn't strong enough to mask a pain that would keep you out for 5 months.
4 pills of 200mg each every 4 hours
If you think 800mg of ibuprofen isn't enough... you're going to get liver disease. I took them every 4 hours, meaning I had about 4-5 doses a day. = 3200-4000mg of ibuprofen EVERY DAY. point is, i couldn't feel any pain. If I tried to take less ibuprofen, it would hurt more, but then what is it really accomplishing?
If you can't feel any pain, then how can you predict when your injury will heal? It's not an issue of being "dumb" because you have no idea how fast your injury will heal unless you can feel the pain naturally.
Believe me, I did everything possible for my achilles: Ice 5 times a day, light strengthening exercises, heel cups, ankle brace. Don't try to sound smart until you know the whole story. And to "left nipple" guy, sports injuries can't really be compared to STDs, you know that!
bump tht
Although I think temporary use of ibuprofin for a couple of weeks or so can be beneficial, I don't think using it on the long haul is good. For me personally, when I first started running last February, I took several advils almost every day for about 4 months, after a while even your body gets used to it, So now even if I take 5 advils I won't notice a difference in pain or inflammation, plus its bad for your stomach

Has anyone had success with an injectable NSAID pre workout?
We have firm knowledge that NSAIDs impair healing and normal tissue maintenance. Using them for running injuries is generally irresponsible, the exception perhaps being if you get tendinitis the week of a crucial competition. A doctor who tells you to take them in any other scenario (which most will) is an idiot.
Before you level the "dumb" charge, you might want to review your post. What exactly is a "monthe" ?
Anyone ever tried TB-500?
Diclofenac sodium (Voltaren) reduced exercise-induced injury in human skeletal muscle.
Bekeke refuses to take them, then so do I.

These findings demonstrate preadministration of diclofenac (in accordance with tissue half-life pharmacokinetics) significantly reduces quantitative indices of exercise-induced skeletal muscle damage in human muscle."
sounds like a good pre-workout

I recently learned that bones require inflammation to heal, If you take anti inflamms with broken ribs, they will not heal. This is why they only want you to take tylenol when you break bones.
But there are two schools of thought on inflammation for soft tissue injuries. one is that you get into the cycle of inflammation which prevents recovery. The other is that you need the inflammation to heal.
I've never had anti inflamms mask pain to the point where i've injured myself worse and have had success with taking them with an acute injury. but i would take high doses for like a week then quit to see where it was at.
haven't had any luck with anti inflamms for chronic injuries.
A lot of side-effects with these drugs. They haven't done me any good over the years except cause more problems:

The FDA has even issued a second black-box warning on NSAIDs:
Morans read the labels! It says for hobby joggers and ultra hobby joggers ONLY! Morans.
Dry needling from a PT
ART/graston from a chiro
Would be most effective
Skip the anti inflammatories
