Four Olympic/WC medalists (Willis, Centro, Bernard Lagat and Leo Manzano), the last two NCAA record holders (Lawi Lalang and Chris O'Hare) and defending champ Will Leer comprise a terrific field. Oh, and a guy named Edward Cheserek is also entered.

Bernard Lagat still has it at age 40, Nick Willis keeps getting better with age and Matt Centrowitz is pretty good too.

Lagat talked about how he is aiming for a slew of masters world records this year while Centro said that he and coach Alberto Salazar are looking to develop his speed this year. Emma Coburn made it clear that she's ready to put her non-American record debacle behind her; she, Simpson and Brenda Martinez also offered support for Boston's 2024 Olympic bid.

Centrowitz (2:49.47), Berry (46.40), Sowinski (1:47.60) and Casey (3:56.48) all did their jobs perfectly as they crushed the old WR of 9:25.97 set by the 2008 Texas squad that included Leo Manzano. Ireland also dipped under the old WR in 9:25.37, while Kenya was a nonfactor despite a 3:52.33 anchor leg from Lawi Lalang.

Ajee Wilson, Laura Roesler, Mary Cain and Natoya Goule are all entered in the women's 800. Rupp & Levins will attempt the mile/2 mile double with less than 30 minutes rest and new pros Abbey D'Agostino and Marielle Hall will face Jordan Hasay in the women's 2 mile. The meet concludes with a WR attempt in the DMR (Team USA features Matthew Centrowitz, Mike Berry, Erik Sowinski and Pat Casey).

It was an amazing year in the 1500 - so amazing that Seb Coe's 1979 WR of 3:32.03 would have put him as the 17th fastest man in 2014. No one was faster than Silas Kiplagat but in our minds no one was better than Ayanleh Souleiman. Thanks to HOKA One One and John Hayes, a resurgent Leo Manzano claims US #1.

Robby Andrews kicked down Elijah Greer to get NJ-NY Track Club the 4 x 800 win over OTC (7:16.22 to 7:16.41). Laura Roesler led the women’s team that won in 8:07.65. Christian Taylor won the TJ while Aleec Harris ran 13.14 to beat Aries Merrit in the 110H. *Full Results

Zane Robertson was 4th (3:53.72) and Kyle Merber 5th (3:54.76). Molly Huddle won the women's mile in 4:26.8 as Phoebe Wright won the 800 in 2:01.91. Mark English took the 800 with 1:45.79 as US's Ryan Martin ran 1:45.79 for 2nd. Juan Luis Barrios won the 3K in 7:44.21 over Trevor Dunbar (7:45.09).

Manzano was just fourth in a low-key mile in Concord, Mass., earlier this month, but proved once again that he's a different animal in championship races and used a strong last 100 to pull away from second-place Pat Casey for the win. Nine USA meets for Leo, nine top 3 finishes.

David Torrence's first USAs under new coach Jama Aden turned into a nightmare, but it was a great night for a number of under-dogs like Ford Palmer who find themselves in the USA final.
