Six of the country's top distance training groups will gather in Michigan on Friday for a six-person, mixed-gender ekiden. NAZ Elite's Tyler Day and Kellyn Taylor headline the entries.

The bet was if the Beasts beat Hansons, Kevin and Keith Hanson would have to race a 1-mile run in spikes wearing the Beasts singlet. If the Hansons won, Danny Mackey would run half-marathon in the Hansons singlet. The Beasts men ended up on top with a 2nd place finish to the Hansons' 4th.

Linden went into depth about her Trials buildup and the trickiest parts of the LA course, while Hanson discussed Linden and Bobby Curtis before discounting Galen Rupp's chances (should he elect to run) and reminding people why they shouldn't underestimate Jake Riley.
