people going on and on in the comments about the wind - did they ever think that maybe it was the sound of the wind going past the mic as the guy on the bike was riding along side him?
Look up Purcelville VA. It was both hot (68c) and wind (12 mph, with gusts up to 23 mph, according to accuweather). It's close to DC, which tends to be windy from March to May.
I don't know what people were expecting. Getting huge stress fracture in foot, out for months, no race for 8 months and then coming back on a 66% solo TT (in the hardest 2/3rd's of the race) and supposing that he should be close to PR shape? It is what it is, a solid run, not a breakthrough, but also not a disaster like some here make it out to be.
Phil, I am so tired of this sht. Don't even give me that 68 degrees is hot and that 12 mpw is some kind of terrible burden.
People had expectations of something because YOU made a thread hyping it up, so don't around wondering why people were expecting anything.
I love how you even said in an earlier post that excuses wouldn't be necessary, but here you are with: 1. hot temperatures (68?) 2. Wind 3. Had to run solo for 2k 4. Stress fracture last year 5. No racing for 8 months.
I'm not even hating, I'm a fan of Drew - but you are absurd and you're not doing Tinman or Hunter any good by acting and posting the way you do.
