don't feed this cvnt troll any more.
Who cares? It's all relative. Either you love running and the quest for your own individual improvement or you don't. That's all that matters.
I ran 17:56 on a hilly course after training for 10 days and was still sore from the training on the day of the race. I didn't think that was anything super special because I didn't know much. I was actually disappointed at how I did. I finished about in the middle of the field. But I definitely had caught the running bug and wanted to see how good I could be.
It's all relative. I heard about the "average person" training for years and not being able to run this time and was surprised. I compared myself to the elites and thought I was slow.
I eventually was able to run 14:53 in my 20's (although my 800m of 1:51 is a better relative time) which is good but still no where near elite. I did achieve a lot of personal satisfaction though. By definition, 99% of us aren't going to be elite and some of us will suck relatively speaking. So most of us run and race for our own personal rewards.
Then there are people like david45 who just whine and make excuses and are narcissists who crave attention for their whining. Just run and ask for legit advice. Stop whining and run. Or find something else that you can get into. Life is too short for drama.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
