According to Bob Hearn:
Lap 34... and that’s a wrap. As a result of running for a day and a half through flooded streets and trails (the only word for the weather is “biblical”), I have a bad case of trench foot (aka maceration). I thought it best to avoid further damage.
That’s 141.667 miles in 34 hours. 15 runners remain in the race. Not what I had hoped for, but I’m happy I pushed through many earlier tough spots to get that far. Backyard races are TOUGH.
