1:06. But he ran today 1:07 at altitude. Also time trial not a race.

Impressive but yes, what's with the net downhill ?! Why didn't he just turn around at halfway to make it flat and get back home ?
Look at me. Look at ME!!

I thought this guy lived in Denver, and Colorado was on a lockdown. Can anyone comment?

Running is allowed by the Order.
You have to give some credit to Seth for time-trialing on the days of his cancelled races.
As for those that think he is attention junkie, he had a general daily living vlog for several years before Kofuzi suggested that he concentrate more on running content. His vlog took off last year. I first heard about Seth on this board late last Summer and watch him almost every day.

This guy is addicated to attention. So annoying. Besides that, 1:07 with that much net down for an altitude born athlete ain't special folks sorry. Notice he also stopped like 3 times during the run so clearly he was resting. False advertising as he didnt leave the clock running so clearly not a legit time trial
Wow, take it easy. I’m kind of ‘addicated’ to his channel. He seems like a really nice guy, and a true grinder. He relates to many of us here on this site: a former college athlete that has a family.

Other way around. Regardless, it's masturbatory. Shut up & run.
People really can watch him speak? Really? I just can't do it. He's so irritating. I am 100% against violence yet I found myself wanting someone to punch him really hard in the throat to shut him up. I solved it by turning it off.
It's remarkable to me that he has a following. I would have guessed most people would have found him to be like fingernails on a chalk board. Interesting.
Men who take selfies make me uneasy.
who the hell is this guy
Really weird how he talks to his wife, or her to him. This is bizarre. New kid, he's not going to work or whatever, and skips out to run a half TT, after a full-on race-like warmup. Gone for 2-2.5 hours or whatever, with a newborn in the house?
THEN shoots a video in some weird room in the garage or whatever?
But just weird the talking with the other adult. This is disturbing.
Uh, this is "merica for ya...

I agree cp30 ; A solo time trial isn't the same as not a race by a long shot.
Plus I would add Daniels' VDOT calculator says the altitude (est. 5,550) equates to about a 1:04:30. That would pretty much (IMO) offset the 300' drop.
I watch most of his Vlogs (often skip some of shoe reviews). He does a decent job. Better than many other channels on YouTube and he posts daily. That is an accomplishment in itself.
Overall, LRC is a tough crowd to please. Solo time trial at altitude coming off a 100 mile week. Seriously I doubt very many on this board could legitimately accomplish that feat.
Boomer out...

You do realize his "job" is making you tube videos, don't you?

.
That 300 ft drop is only going to be worth about 45 seconds so net is much faster than the 1:07.
I would think he could run 1:05-1:05:30 at sea level based on his 1:06:50 first half during his marathon.

Nah. Would shock me if he can eek out a 1:08 flat on sea level. His time trials have a way of somehow being faster than ability. Something smells fishy here.

yo dawg: How can you say you would be shocked if Seth could "eek out a 1:08 flat on sea level" ? As the post you are responding to accurately points out, Seth split a 1:06:50-something at the Amsterdam Marathon last year and was still able to finish somewhat respectably.
Oddly enough, Seth's time trials and FKT attempts may be the closest things to race results that we can look forward to for the next couple months.

I just find it weird how he gets shots of himself running the time trial with a camera sitting somewhere. People commonly ask him how he does that in the comments but he never answers them. He replies to lots of comments and answers all kinds of questions, so why couldn’t he answer that one? All it would take is to say that someone helped him or that he staged the shots after the fact, but he says nothing.
It's pretty likely the shots are staged. I think it's less likely but possible that the TT was staged or juked in someway.
If it were me, I would go back when I was done and take some shots of me running at that effort. It would t be too difficult. It’s like shots running up to the car. You obviously get to the car, set up the camera, and then go back and run up.

Yeah... If I saw Seth walking down the sidewalk I would cross the street.
I would feel just as insecure as him if I had 4 kids and needed to maintain a daily running vlog and run at a high level to support them. Kind of a rough life. It's not like he can dial anything back at this point. Wait until those kids are older and need much more emotional presence from their father. They are doomed. "Oh, some kids were bullying you today? Well I gotta go rip a half marathon TT and edit some footage. Um.. How about we chat tomorrow about it? Just uh, remember that we love you and words don't hurt, OK? Bye kiddo!"
