Is there a way to still help people doing self massage or other physio consultation via one-on-one video conf? Of course it's not ideal, but who knows. People with physio problems ask LRC all the times. Advertise yourself as "LEGENDARY SUPER-PHYSIO BOJACK".
This is the truth for PTs (my wife is one that fits the OP’s profile). There’s some gray area right now about billing virtual through insurance, but hopefully that can get sorted. My wife plans on beginning to work with select patients she knows well, on a virtual basis, next week and making it a reduced cash pay situation. Her clinic has remained open up till now, but it’s only having 1/4 of the staff and 1/6 of the normal patients.
Luckily for us, we usually take the last two weeks of March off for spring break and April and May are two of her slower months for the year. The income loss is real, but the timing is better than it could be.
Oddly enough, here in CO they list PT as not essential, though it’s “essential” on a national level.
