Sub 2:30 thread is a bit dead so I'll start joining these now. Looks like there is a lot of great stuff here. Was shooting to run Shamrock Shuffle and Boston this year. Ran in both college and grad school. Took a couple years off from competing after moving to Columbus. Started competing again in Sept 2018 with my first marathon. I guess I'm a marathoner right now but want to run some of the shorter distances to update some old PRs.
Been struggling with an achilles issue for the last couple weeks.

Last week:
Tuesday: 6 miles, 6:51 pace
Wednesday: 10 miles, 6:49 pace
Thursday: 11.15 miles, 4x2min hill/jog down, 6x30sec steeper hill/jog down, 1mi easy, 2mi at HM, 1 mi easy cooldown. This uphill 2 minute sections were about 5:27 pace, 30 seconds was like 5:40-6:00. The two mile went went. Super smooth and went 5:16, 5:11. Feel pretty fit even after being banged up with an achilles issue.
Friday: 6.17 miles, 7:17 pace
Saturday: 10 miles, 7:20 pace
Sunday: 20 miles, 6:16 pace. Out in 64:17, back in 61:01. This was tough as heck. Definitely needed more fuel.
I've basically shaken this achilles issue. Super pumped to toss up an update for this week.
