Sure, wise guy. Duck the point, which is that of those hospitalized for the disease 40% were aged between 20-54. That was 4 days ago. Enjoy your time in IC - when it comes.
You are disgusting.
I'm very fond of you, too. But you may have more reason to worry about COVID-19. We all do.
Trump seems to agree with you. Look for a relaxation of lock down rules that recognizes the vast majority of our productive citizens do not face a threat from Covid 19 that's worse than the flu, with some requirement that oldsters and fragile people be given the right to return to the labor force at some future date TBD, along with a sweetener that might prompt them to stop working altogether. We still will have the problem to solve of providing adequate hospital facilities - but that problem will be solved over time.
Listen to you.
You think you are invincible, along with all millennials.
I can't believe this, People still going to their spring break locations, coming home and infecting their older relatives.
This is crazy and downright selfish.
Millennials think the world revolves around them. Mark my word, they will get violently sick too before we come through this.

You missed the part where the CDC says that 40% of those hospitalized in NY for serious issues arising from COVID-19 are those "productive citizens" like you aged between 20-54.
just so we are clear no one who gets COVID "barely feels the disease". It is a harsh flu that leaves you bed ridden, and very very sick. It affects healthy people. Emma Bates was affected, Colton Underwood-who before being the bachelor, was a straight laced football player, was bed ridden for days and says he feels like he has 20% lung capacity. This. is. a. serious. illness.

I don't know why you think that it being a serious disease means that no one "barely feels the disease". Polio is a serious disease. 90% of people who are infected with polio are asymptomatic.
Yes, there are asymptomatic COVID infections. Doesn't mean it isn't a serious disease. It just means that some people are asymptomatic.

Sam, anyone over 60 should not be racing; certainly not 'thons. That is plain unhealthy. Your aging body is under stress, and you want to add to it? WTF, brotein.
Running is fine; racing is Verboten.
That day you are feeling "off" you will still drag your ass out if you have a race looming. That "off" day could kill you.
If just running you would skip that "off" day.
Discus?
Not sure you are stirring...but no, I have never raced when 'feeling off', not even training. I have a pretty good handle on how 'off' I feel.

Because what's left of our civilization still has some humane values?
I mean, not Twitter virtue signalling 'how many likes can I get' type humanity, but the real kind - the kind that would make sacrifices to save the lives of millions of vulnerable people.
Saving the life of millions of vulnerable people is good.
Now, tell me how it is achieved better by locking everbody inside their home instead of just locking these millions of vulnerable people? They still get locked.
The only thing you do is lock more people , when they have fewer risks and could develop herd immunity sooner. The lockdown would be shorter and the economy damage would be reduced.
I disagree that saving millions of lives is good. Considering the majority of deaths are older people or those with pre existing conditions if those people all rapidly passed away a burden would be lifted from our already overcrowded health are system. Additionally think about how many few pensions would need to be paid out if the aging baby boomers didnt live to 85+ years old!
In order for humanity to continue (our species specifically) we dont need old people. We need:
1) people who can actively work to produce goods and services;
2) people who can reproduce and care for young; and
3) young children who will grow up to replace the working.
Keeping old people who can't care for themselves around is a luxury, not a given.

You missed the part where the CDC says that 40% of those hospitalized in NY for serious issues arising from COVID-19 are those "productive citizens" like you aged between 20-54.
Two things here: for one, that's quite an age range. What's the percentages say from 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, etc.? If there's a much higher percentage of people over 40 than under 30, then that range is distorted.
Secondly, "productive citizens" doesn't mean unhealthy people or people with underlying medical issues (e.g, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma, etc.). I know people with these conditions who work full-time and would be considered "productive citizens." The CDC is not disclosing whether or not any pre-existing conditions are indicated with those hospitalized patients experiencing complications.
And conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity, asthma, etc,. weaken the innate immune response to viral & bacterial infections. Even being overweight can be a factor:
https://www1.cbn.com/health/being-overweight-reduces-immune-functionHere's how a healthy person's immune system defeated the coronavirus (imagine that).
https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/sars-cov-2-how-a-patients-immune-system-defeated-the-virus-in-3-daysA lot of Americans, both young and old, aren't very healthy. Poor nutrition, lack of exercise, overweight, etc. And add in the rising cases of diabetes & hypertension with the young, it's not "shock & awe" that a certain percentage of younger people getting the virus are going to have some complications.
No.
And urine idiot.
You should live in China. They don't value human life like we do in the USA. In communist countries there is always a very good reason to eliminate someone.
The Nazis would have liked you. But I wouldn't be too complacent if I were you. Keeping the mentally deficient alive is also a luxury.
I went for a jog round the park, never seen so many people out. And guess what? 90 percent of them were old, I couldn't belive my eyes. It's their fault if they catch it but they still have a right to go out if they want. Free country isn't it
Pinecone & the other trumpanzees are showing the strategy.
Divide us again, this time young vs old.

You're kidding me? "90%" of them were old? Unbelievable...and they're the ones whining to their elected officials about all the young people out & about spreading the virus.

Same story here. All the old grumpy bastards are out and about as all their happy hour locations, movie theaters, and
Marijuana dispensaries are not open all day for them to clog up the city. And they are susceptible. Most are fat and need to eat less. This is good for them.
Maybe them running out of all that junk food will help our Diabetes epidemic. I work with old people and despise most of them??

That's not true. Studies have shown that the majory of people infected barely felt it, like some little cough or minor fever.
Only 20% can develop harder symptoms and get really sick. And only 5% will need to be put in ICU.
Italy has released a statistic:
99% of people who died had other disease such as diabetes, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease It's written here, and most have multiples pre existing conditions:
The "young" people the disease can affect are those who have diabetes.

If you're lucky, you, too, may one day become an old person. And then someone like who you are today will "despise you".
