True, a lot of my ‘business’ trips could have been done over the phone, but as long as the client is paying, I’ll keep my bag packed. 3 day trip with 1-2 hours of work gives a lot of time to good off and charge the client.
This is the reality of almost all business travel. Usually guys trying to escape their family life and hangout in random cities on the client or company dime, while doing little to any work that couldn’t be done over the phone or through video conferencing. Companies waste incredible amounts of money on useless business travel.
