Anyone want to infect me? I'd rather get it now while we have ICU and ventilator capacity. It's like chicken pox as a kid. Just get it over with, or it could be way worse in the future.

Interesting strategy. I'd like to hear the details. Track down an infected person? Lick their hands? Just make out with them?
Greg was at the mall today spending other people's money on a latte. Maybe he caught it?
It's not like chicken pox where once you get it you have immunity. Apparently, you can get coronavirus again.
There are two doctors in my running group and that was exactly what the emergency room doctor said. - If you’re going to get it you want to get it at the front end while they have resources etc. He was being very serious, everyone was just silent looking at him, mostly freaked everyone out.
My plan is to be one of the 99% who don't even ever catch it or catch it so mildly I don't even know I have it. I like my odds.

I have to admit, this is pretty brilliant.
No, it isn't.

As a healthy 31 year old, I won't need medical help if I get it. I'm an alpha male so my body is tougher than anyone else.

Get paid to get infected and hangout at a resort:
https://brobible.com/culture/article/coronavirus-news-paid-infected-volunteers-covid19/You'll get it again next flu season. Flu season will start up soon in the southern hemisphere and wreck havoc. Then the next flu season starts in the northern hemisphere. And repeat over and over again and again. That is how the flu works. It never goes away. It just mutates to newer forms and continues on its merry way around the world.

That's my plan as well, the same as I've done all my life.
I disagree with the logic. "might as well get the flu and get over with it?" No it's better to just not get the flu (this coming from a guy who had the flu last week).
Having said that many people have mild symptoms. No worse than a cough.Hopefully if you do get it you don't need to go to ICU.

No sh*t. Most people have mild symptoms, but then they INFECT people who DIE. Are you a health official? Is that where you're getting your information from? If no, then stfu
Was told that it’s better to get it much later in the game when the virus has mutated to a weaker version. I read somewhere that you can’t catch the same strain again, maybe a mutated version but not the same.

From the above:
"The human guinea pigs will not be able to exercise or have physical contact with other people. Their diet will also be highly regimented.
To give volunteers a fighting chance at surviving, they will be infected with the less aggressive strain of the coronavirus. Participants will be infected with the 0C43 and 229E strains of the virus and will cause mild respiratory symptoms."
I may have been tempted if it was available locally and if i could continue running if physically able. If I could get the virus once and have immunity then I would not have to worry about infecting my 79 year old father who needs help. The other issue is I would be afraid of whatever experimental medications they gave me or be worried their required diet would cause me to gain too much weight.

That's like saying people who think they saw Bigfoot, but didn't tell anyone, can cause other people to be attacked by Bigfoot.
The Spanish Flu was caused by the terrible air pollution at that time, not by a virus.

WRONG.
