What could happen if this is not taken seriously

Delay spread as long as possible seems prudent

ZERO died before getting "health care treatments."

A generic description of bad luck. Pointless.

That may be the stupidest thing you've written yet and that's saying something.
You actually have the mind of a toddler. It's all just luck. LOL. Good God.
For the record, NIMBY is 100% correct: It's fine until it's not, and when it's not you better hope it's not "game over".
Eating too many beans is not an issue until it affects those around you. Then it's total devastation.
By the time it spreads around to a sizable number of people, it is likely that only weaker strains will be spread and so you'll have a lot of people with a built up immunity. That is how these pandemic viruses ultimately get under control.
Hand sanitizers and what not won't do anything for the overarching issue. Mother Nature will sort things out and we'll survive...
I think it is mostly an old white person thing. My parents are on the “hoax” train, and so are a bunch of my coworkers.
They’re cynical and not good at mathematical reasoning.

Yeah, definitely just a bunch of old white people dying in China.
WTF?

Noted that there is absolutely zero evidence to back up your foundational claim.
Good job!
How on earth does someone consider this accurate when all of the cases from the Diamond Princess ship are not even recovered?
706 confirmed cases
7 deaths
But you guys fail to mention the more obvious part:
Only 100 recovered
There were zero deaths before they started treating them.
Everyone who has died has been previously treated for the virus.
No one who has not been diagnosed and treated for the virus has died.
We need a reduction in global population on a scale much larger than 2%. Bring on Covid-19. Bring on more and worse diseases.

Thanks for the info. Finally some sensible facts to all this hysteria and paranoia.

Not to mention everyone on the ship is age 70 or over. So of course those who died were70+ all retirees. I have the manifest.
It's clearly a very big issue. Panic, overreaction isn't the way to go though.
One thing that's begun to be the first response (along with quarantine) is shutting things down, closing events, anything to do with large gatherings. The City of Elk Grove, CA, near us, just closed it's schools for "one week." Of course that's super tentative, depending on what come next from many unknowns quarters. Seems probable that that is a stop gap measure that will extend indefinitely.
Kids will be running the streets, so to speak, gathering in random places and not be as organized as if they were in school. Parents will be hard pressed to continue their lives and jobs and manage their kids. The ramifications of all places of education, entertainment, sports, shopping are shut down? Do the math. They would have a better chance if they would continue in their regular routines.
If.
If the authorities would stop just shutting things down and put the time and planning into finding ways to combat or live with the outbreak applying extreme cautionary steps.
There are just too many known and unknown consequences stemming from bring all these institutions and daily activities, schools, workplaces, gatherings of any kind to a halt.
The spread of systemic shutdowns could exacerbate the disruption and probably help spread the disease.
Practical means of controlling exposure and spread of the virus within a social order that stays afloat and functioning are needed.
I think it's because we follow our leader, Donald Trump.
The issue from my perspective with coronavirus relates to the after affects it can affect people in the long term with particular reference to the lungs and whether those may be damaged permanently.
I have seen precious little information about that aspect concerning coronavirus and yet that is an aspect that should be dealt with and publicized because if the lungs are affected negatively for the rest of one’s life then that will have a significant bad effect on one’s life after being infected with coronavirus and this is seldom mentioned the reasons that I don’t know
Ghost in the Philippines
Where's all the panic with Steph Curry getting the seasonal flu? OMG, Curry has the flu! - better put him in quarantine mmediately! Better shut down the NBA! Everybody panic!
Here's the irony of how stupid the American people have become. Curry gets influence-A, which can have complications and is contagious (and the seasonal flu kills an average of about 30,000 Americans a year). However, it's no big deal because it's only the seasonal flu. If he was diagnosed with the coronavirus, it would literally be the end of the world. He'd be in quarantine, the NBA would be immediately shut down and Trump would have a press conference over this. Lol.
The leftists and Democrats (but I repeat myself) are hoping to cause a panic, crash the economy and prevent Trump from being re-elected.
Eight weeks ago there had been a single death and 40 confirmed cases. Now there are over 100,000 cases and over 100 deaths/day. Do the math and you'll see that, unchecked, COVID19 would be infecting tens of millions and killing thousands daily in very short order. That's why we won't just let it run its course like the flu.
