I'm new to the Central Ohio area and found a half this summer that looks interesting. It's in a park and it's Emerald City (obviously named after Dublin).
Goal is to shoot for 90 or better in the half. Is it hilly or doable? I currently run 1:34:26.
5k PR 18:43 but usually 19-ish as a runner. SLOW I know.
From what people tell me, people use it as a tune up race and don't take it seriously. I.e. in the fall there is the Indy Marathon and the Columbus Marathon and people use this as a benchmark but not all-out.
If you do the quarter marathon it's training for a fall 1/2. If you do the half marathon it's training for a fall full, for instance. There may be other fulls I don't know about in the region.
