Saucy man.
Saucy man.
It’s sort of growing on me, and some previous critics, apparently.
El, the only thing “growing” is the number of people who have signed the, Get Nike to redesign Kenya's athletics sportswear for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics! at change.org. It is close to 15,000. From what I have read over 90% of Kenyans do not like the new kit. When you make a decision that is clearly wrong, admit you are wrong and fix it. The development of the Kamariny track in Iten is another example of making the wrong decision and not admitting it. More laps were run on the Kamariny dirt track each week than another other track in the world so why attempt to put in a synthetic track that would be worn out within 12 months? Coming up to 3 years since the Kamariny track was closed. El, do you know how much progress has been made?
Awful. They look like walking Rubik’s cubes. Kenya consistently has awesome uniforms... what on earth happened? Maybe they think the design will put their competitors in some sort of psychedelic trance.
Unacceptable. Kenyan Olympic strip has always been simple, bold and powerful. It matched the flag very well, for the formerly-inevitable victory lap.

I am disappointed in this.
Well, they could just ask for the previous version which everybody liked.
I don't mind it but I think the issue isn't so much the vest, it's when it's paired with the arm covers and the cycling shorts with the pattern as well. If the vest (singlet) was paired with plain black shorts, as in the above picture, it wouldn't be anywhere near as bad. It's the combination of the loud pattern in colours then the loud pattern in black and white, it just clashes.
Kenya always Kenya
