These type of things the NCAA looks the other way. Although it most likely is a violation, who is it really hurting? Parolympics??

1 - This is a clear NCAA violation
2 - His blade legs are an unfair advantage. They are lighter and more springy than human legs, plus they cannot develop lactic acid which is the primary cause of fatigue in human legs during a 400m race.
It is a scholarship you ninnies
The NCAA has not made any regulations about blades so I'm going to leave that one alone as he is running within the rules.
I guess I can buy the explanation that it could be considered a "scholarship" and used for necessary expenses so hopefully he has help managing keeping track of it to prove to the NCAA. It was obviously high profile so they should know about it already. I know you can collect prize money from races assuming it covered the cost of entry and travel etc but our compliance officers always suggested not to to be on the safe side.
Also, I love how people here are calling the $20k gift "none of my business" or that we're "whistleblowers" by talking about it. It was on a daytime television show that many people watch and posted to social media channels that many people follow. If this was a higher profile sport, people would definitely be paying attention and talking about the eligibility implications of it with everything going on in NCAA basketball right now.
It's an obvious violation and if he accepts it he should no longer be running on any college program.
Didn't his GF Tara Davis have a GoFundMe page for championships (where expenses were paid for qualifiers?). Says she raised $1,700. Looks like they are both on a PR campaign to get funding however they can.
No one at the NCAA cares what they ate. What were they drinking?
He split 1:50 in a DMR tonight.
