You think the Dodgers never stole any pitching signs?
You think the Dodgers never stole any pitching signs?
A mere 24 hours later, Atlanta Braves right fielder Nick Markakis stated that every Astros player "needs a beating" and New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge said their 2017 title doesn't "hold any value." Before them, Trout vouched for stronger punishment. Before Trout, Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen called the cheating scandal "worse than steroids." Before Jansen, Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant deemed the Astros' apologies "a disgrace." Before Bryant, Cincinnati Reds starter Trevor Bauer provided a 1,500-word soliloquy disparaging his sport. And before all of them, reigning NL MVP Cody Bellinger talked about how Jose Altuve "stole" the 2017 AL MVP award and how his entire team "stole" the championship.
Most of the anger is rooted in self-interest, as is typically the case.
Looks like they know they can't beat the 'Stros on the field, so have to win under Public Opinion, somehow. Now even LeBron feels the need to Tweet.

Personally, I'd be ready to forfeit the game and take a fine. I'd tell my pitchers hit every single one of them until we get in a fight and the game is cancelled or forfeited. Same with the Red Sox.
This is the correct answer. All of them.

It's unlikely they used video from a centerfield camara. A base runner stealing signs from 2nd base is part of the game.
As for the OP's question, no one is going to be throwing at anyone. If the Dodgers throw at Astros hitters, the Astros pitchers are going to retaliate. These guys make a lot of money and no one wants to get hurt.

Beanings won't happen over this. That is an immature "solution" and the players are too professional and mobile (free agency and trades) these days.
Are you saying that pitchers are TOO mature/professional to resort to that?? I needed a good laugh, thank you.
Held onto your bat too long after a home run? Hit by pitch
Flipped the bat? Hit by pitch
And lets not even get into how long guys will hold onto these grudges (see the 3 years!! Strickland stewed over his "beef" with Harper)
There's more, but you get the point. Systemic cheating by an organization is actually worthy of drawing enough ire that you'd want to plunk a guy. That's understandable. Not the usual pettiness that'll get a guy hit these days.
Too mature... Haha, good times
Yes, 100% this. As for me, I'd throw at them until I ran out of pitchers. I'm glad Dusty Baker is the new Astros manager. Hiring that idiot will be more of a punishment than anything MLB did to them.

You could be right, but I really think a lot of guys are going to be throwing at them. Hopefully nobody gets hurt if so.
I know they don't play each other this year, but if it was me I would have the whole team walk off the field in protest. They weren't appropriately punished so we aren't going to play a bunch of cheaters is the message. The real question is whether you just do this one game or do it all three.

You realize that people in the stands paid $100 or more for their tickets and $30 to park, right?
