Correction: Looks like might be a lot of Adidas in women's top 10.

Kenyan still going to take them all ...
NOBODY broke Rupp’s PR.
I thought that the Dubai Marathon was always an early morning race. Why they changed it to a night event?
Timezones. It's a concept.
Race started at 6 a.m. local time in Dubai. It was an early morning race in real time. It was night time a day earlier in the US.

They didn’t even look tired after a sprint marathon finish. Something just doesn’t jive.
Adidas seem to be concentrating on the woman's elites much more, the Ethiopians love Adidas.
2nd woman was Adidas also
You'd think more women would gravitate towards Nike as Nike was the goddess of victory while Adidas was named after some old German guy.

Adidas was the equipment for East Germany which was the coaching connection for Ethiopia back in the '70s and '80s.

14 men just finished the Dubai Marathon, with a faster time in this single race than the best performance the USA produced in the whole of 2019 (2:07:52). Ouch.

Does it make you feel better about yourself to rag on a guy that placed 6th in the Olympics?

Yes, 6th place , meaning no medal, empty handed, gotcha! Thanks for putting it in perspective and keep glorifying mediocrity.

6th place in the Olympics is mediocrity? How about you list your achievements here.
You won't, because you probably can't even place in the top 6 of your local 5k. Just like Rojo, you feel the need to put others down, that have clearly accomplished more than you ever will, just to feed your insecurities.
Ward only finished 6th in Rio because each country is limited to three competitors.
Clearly, if Kenya and Ethiopia were allowed to enter everyone, Ward would finish a bit further back. This isn't hard to comprehend. Some countries are DEEP, others are not. The US is one of the others.

This^^^X1000.
While wnning a medal in the Olympics is the ultimate prize, it is not, however the contest with the best entrants.
If that were the case the US, including Galen Rupp at Rio would be way, way out of the medals.

Ethiopia and Kenya sent what they considered to be their 3 best athletes and they each were only able to put 1 athlete in front of Ward. What does that say about Ethiopia and Kenya? They're deep sure, but they can't perform at all without pacers. Meanwhile, the US was able to put 2 in the top 6.
You can give all the "ifs" in the world, the two countries together put the same number of athletes in the top 6 as the US. These guys can't race, they can run a time trial, and that's why the US did better in Rio.
