I agree with Deek.
But I don't really care about the elite end of the sport. Like most on here, I run in smaller local events and it's not a level playing field. I know plenty of runners who are smashing their PRs at all distances despite no changes in training and in many cases many years after they first set them.
Three quarters of the faster runners in road races at every level now are wearing them, giving a huge advantage over those that either chose not to, or can't afford them.
Runners who I always beat are now now running quicker times in races because of the Nike's, but they can't run faster than me in training or in other events where they haven't got the shoes on. I don't want to have to buy them just to go a few minutes quicker; I'd feel like I was cheating.
If they don't ban them very soon, there will be a whole generation of runners with artificially false results and times.
