I have no problem at all with this killing, but what do I have a problem with are 3,500 additional American troops that are been sent there. That absolutely IS a broken promise.
Iran is the aggressor and is escalating this. Not the US. Iran bombs our allies and funds terrorism. Now they attacked our embassy. We've responded. Iran controls where this goes.
Think this through: Trump doesn't want a war. He already gets unrelenting negative media coverage without getting the US into a much, much bloodier and costlier war than Iraq ever was. Things are going great for him. Strong economy and he's probably gonna get reelected. Why would he screw that up?
