No actual elite runners train there. If UNM has a stud, they bounce as soon as they graduate. There are some decent runners there, but we aren't even talking sub-elites. It's rare the city produces even a sub 2:30 marathoner. It's practically irrelevant to the running landscape. There's some good, the altitude (5000' with a 10000' mountain), the weather, and relatively low cost of living. But there's a lot of bad too, that city has some major problems, which would make it a hard sell over lots of places being listed in this thread (still probably better than Laramie though).
