I can see that happening if all goes well. I’m just really concerned about the recruiting at Texas.

You know how many times we have all heard that? Bubba was a “elite staff” too.
Since when Bubba and Flo are one in the same?
SUNO transfer SPRINTER Stacey Williams of Jamaica has signed with Texas!
So coming from the “historically black” NAIA college in New Orleans. Southern University has decided to shut down all athletic programs at the New Orleans campus. Stats on SUNO include:
14% graduation rate, 12% acceptance rate.
Compared to SU in BR: 41% graduation rate, 99% acceptance rate.
Her transcript ought to be pretty interesting
No need to pick up a star there are tons of kids running highschool elite times. Talent can be developed. jazmine fray went from being a 57 second 400m runner to a 52 second 400/800m runner. With the right coaching and a recruit with the will to succeed Texas will be alright
You are 100% correct- get a good kid and develop them is the way to go.

Umm... Jazmine Fray went to A&M, not Texas.
I’m wondering if Stacy Ann Williams is going compete this season or next season with Texas.
I am also curious if Texas is in the process of signing more athlete sprinters and hurdlers, but especially sprinters. Any rumors?
That's possible with who they have. Note that ALL of them were there when "Flo" got there. He hasn't signed a big guy recruit either. When they are done, they will be back to being just like all of the men's teams he has ever coached, terrible.
I also heard Flannel isn't able to run yet. That must have been a heck of an injury if it happened in June and still isn't better.
You are considering TEXAS an UNDERDOG? They are one of the most recognized athletic departments in the country. The point people are making is it seems that with this "elite" staff led by the amazing Flo and at TEXAS that they should be signing people that are comparable to what previous coaches there have done. They have not. But he did the same thing taking credit for the athletes that built him at Kentucky. When Tim Hall came from Clemson and brought Dezerea Bryant and Kendra Harrison. Tim and Boogie built Flo.
In Flo’s interview it appears that he is “resting” Flannel for the 2020 Olympics as opposed to an injury. Not one of the women’s hurdlers competed as well. I wonder is Burton is injured free. Tara has not hurdled as well.
Flannel is injured. This is a fact.
Unfortunately it happens in sports
The recruiting has been bad considering their facilities and the city attraction alone. They lost their best female recruit from Ireland who was going to be their multi stud who could maybe also score on one or two more events. I think they’ve even recruited better in throws and distance than sprints. Not sure what’s going on with Flo and his recruiting. Plus all the scorers were not recruited by any of the current staff members
Men’s team will be competitive but top 5 is more realistic. Other piperi, most of their other athletes are inconsistent. Worley, O’Brien, McCarter could win their event or they could not qualify score too. Let’s see if flo can live up to his bill. The sprint team flopped at natty and they don’t even have good enough relay team to even qualify. If jones, Harris, Burt can get decent placement maybe they could challenge but in disappointed flo hasn’t really done much to challenge in all sprint events.
I agree Comeonflo! Flo has not recruited well. I was expecting better... much better!
It’s only his 2nd year guys. Smh
#FloKnows how to win a championship with event groups other than his own.
Allhis- Huh? What? Elaborate please!
To everyone complaining about the lack of elite sprinters in Texas’ recruiting class. If Flo wanted to recruit a bunch of sprinters and hurdles I’m sure he could do that, he did that at Kentucky. His goal isn’t to have the best 4x1 and 4x4 at nationals, it’s to win the team title. Texas is clearly going after the best talent available and not just the best sprint/hurdle talent.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
