You may be right, but I would strongly encourage you to play Dark Souls for a while before you make your final decision.

Halo 2 (especially online multiplayer, which no longer exists)
But that's just what I played obsessively as a preteen. After that video games never interested me again.
The newly released PS4 game Death Stranding is up there. It might be the best use of imagery and cinematic cut scenes in a game. My personal favorite game is The Witcher 3 for the storytelling in it's quests and the vast open world to explore.
Thanks for the review. I actually have a really nice 4K TV with HDR (Vizio P Series), but just a normal Xbox One, so it unfortunately doesn’t take advantage of it. From my understanding, the HDR part is even nicer than the 4K part. If I ever have enough money, I’ll get a PS4 Pro.
They definitely are great, gorgeous games. Just a lot of fun to sit back and play.

Great game. I need to play the sequel sometime. Heard it’s very underrated.
I'm going to go with something more recent; my favorite game is Monster Hunter: World (2018) it's truly a work of art.
I know its's a cliche, but it's true. The games of my youth (1980s) are still fun and what I want to play; the best ones, anyway. I can't think of a game made in the last 20 years that I've found remotely enjoyable. They're more like interactive cinema that actual games. Is it purely an age thing (probably), or has the very definition of 'game' changed from fast, simple motor-coordination to passive, complex storytelling?
My go to games were:
Donkey Kong
Pac Man/ Ms Pac Man
Defender/Stargate
Tempest
Centipede/Millipede (for the cool sounds)
Dig Dug
Galaga
Just hearing the sounds of all of those games in an arcade or bowling alley was intoxicating.
Some good ones in here. Not yet mentioned are Megaman 2 when Capcom took over, Super Tecmo Bowl and the Ninja Turtles gams

That looks and sounds awesome.
I don't remember that came. Obviously from the creators of Defender (Williams) with the same sounds.
