I just finished up my XC season. I was injured and struggled through the first 2/3 of the season, but I've been in really good form recently as the weather has finally cooled down and I've gotten my leg better. In two weeks, I went from 18:08 to 17:33 at State yesterday on a historically difficult course where everyone struggled yesterday. All my training has felt super good recently, and I want to see how far I can get my time down, but of course there's no more meets. Obviously, 17:33 isn't gonna get me anywhere close to Nationals even in my South division, but I was wondering, is FL Regionals a worthwhile race? It would be a significant distance to travel, but I'd be willing to do it if the race is a good experience. Also, should I finish higher in my grade (Junior) race, or just go for broke and say I competed in the Championship race?
Thanks
