It should be a glorious day to run with temps in the 50s and low winds, perhaps a little warmer than ideal for a pro, but basically a perfect balance for runners and spectators.
Will any course records be broken? Who will win? Who will be the top Americans?

Kitata to win and the women’s record to go, but only if they turn at halfway in under 1.12. Could be Mary or Aga, hard to get it right. Eleven women under 2.26.10, that’s my big call.

Allie Kieffer - 2:34:52 or DNF
Sara Hall - 2:25:32 for 5th
Kamworor for the win - 2:04:54 -

I have Kieffer in 16th if there are few or no DNF's. i wonder when she will put one together like the time you think Allie may run. -
Kam low 2:04.
-
Kamworor FTW in new CR.
-
What is the course record? I saw his WR race over the 1/2 in Copenhagen. He is ready to roll.
-
I don't think NYC is the kind of course where people should be thinking about records, not even course records. Keitany got in really huge trouble doing that one time. Anything under 2:05 for the men would be fine.
-
1. Kamworor
2. Kitata
3. Tola
1. Keitany
2. Aga
3. Jekposgei -
I pick Kamworor in 2:06, Ward First American in 4th, Jepkosgei to have Beginners luck and Win the Women's race, and Sarah Hall, Who is the fastest Woman (not born in Africa) this year, to get 3rd.
-
Will it def be shown on Freesports in the UK? Their schedule doesn't list it live. None of their social media mention it.

So either of the women’s favourites may dnf because they won’t run slower than hall? -
- Kitata for the win on the men’s side. Desisa is gonna DNF, he underestimated the turn around from Worlds. I think he’s gonna do what Kitata did last year, do the work and help his team mate win. Another 2:05 high. I don’t think the course record falls. But kitata has to eventually win one of these, and not just lose by 2 seconds every time? 🤷🏼♂️
- Ward for top American man. If Desisa drops, and at Tamirat Tola has an off day, he could make the podium. Which would make me pretty damn happy. He deserves it. Class act guy.
- Keitany wins the women’s race, new course record.
- I would pick Sara Hall as top American, but she’s racing too much (see Desisa, L ..above). So I’m going with a dark horse in Kellyn Taylor. Allie Kiefer is dealing with a hamstring injury, and will start but probably DNF. Des Linden runs her usual “good not great” race. -
My prediction is that the local NYC station will have atrocious coverage but so will the pay Tv feed and I will feel vindicated for being a cheapskate cord cutter once again.

Cicirunner reporting live from the NYC athletes village. Everyone is shivering awaiting the start of the race. Miserable weather for lounging but terrific weather for running. Currently 42 degrees and sun is out
-
Just saw in Allie K’s insta she has a film producer doing a documentary about her race . She must be in pretty good shape , I’ll say 2:29 - 10th

Not to split hairs, but not sure where temp status came from. It won't be in the 50s until well after elites are through after noon. Showing 45 degrees now just minutes before the start and a predicted temp of 48 at their finish.
