Went in for meniscus tear followup today, went through the whole range of motions and stretches and the doc says, at hearing my left knee make what I've called "soccer knee" noises, says "just the normal Rice Krispies in the knee, nothing abnormal as long as it doesn't hurt"...
Really?
the tear healed in 20 days or so, btw, but has anyone else heard this advice, to ignore noise and only follow feeling? The popping only hurts when it's cold, ala tendentious. I'm only curious because I've heard people that have shreaded all their cartilage say that the noise was a precursor, but that was surely not sage medical advice. Anyone else with noticeable crackling but relative comfort?
