Coe has failed to suspend Kenya despite the appalling doping record (two more in the last week) and corruption endemic in Kenyan athletics from top to bottom. He's promised 'to look at' the recent ZDF documentary while at the same time publicly expressing his hope that Nairobi will stage the 2025 World Championships. He's the best friend Kenya could hope to have in the IAAF.

Marathon not being a track event doesn't seem to have harmed its popularity btw. Maybe it would be better for 5 and 10K if they were kept on the road, and perhaps even turned into road events at the Olympics.
