Good to see this degenerate POS get his. Hopefully Rupp, Farah, and all the other lab rats get theirs too.
I'm a Brit, and as sure as I can be that Farah is clean.
“The Panel notes that the Respondent does not appear to have been motivated by any bad intention to commit the violations the Panel found. In fact, the Panel was struck by the amount of care generally taken by Respondent to ensure that whatever new technique or method or substance he was going to try was lawful under the World Anti-Doping Code, with USADA’s witness characterizing him as the coach they heard from the most with respect to trying to ensure that he was complying with his obligations. The Panel has taken pains to note that Respondent made unintentional mistakes that violated the rules, apparently motivated by his desire to provide the very best results and training for athletes under his care. Unfortunately, that desire clouded his judgment in some instances, when his usual focus on the rules appears to have lapsed. The Panel is required to apply the relevant law, the World Anti-Doping Code and its positive law enactments in the rules of international sports federations, in discharging its duty, and here that required the Panel to find the violations it did.”
Thrilled he got nailed but wish there was more found. He broke the rules and he needs to be banned.
However, it feels a little empty with zero new information.
I’d think this may be just the beginning of it though.
I think Rupp retires. He’s got to be in the fetal position on the floor crying as I type this.

The US Anti-Doping Agency found that Salazar had been “orchestrating and facilitating prohibited doping conduct” while head coach of the Nike Oregon Project.
So "orchestrating and facilitating prohibited doping conduct" doesn't amount to "promoting doping" in your books? I'm not surprised you don't get it if that is the level of your comprehension skills.
https://www.google.co.nz/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/sport/2019/oct/01/athletics-coach-alberto-salazar-receives-four-year-ban-for-doping-violationsWait, your entire understanding of this issue is based on a single vague quotation from a Guardian article? You are one stupid sonofabitch. If you pull your head out of your azz and read the official AAA report, you'll find out what "orchestrating and facilitating prohibited doping conduct" actually means. Until then, kindly stop posting on this thread. You don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about.
In that case the Guardian report, which has taken the quote from the USADA report, is also wrong and they, too, are "one stupid sonavab*tch". Except no one is saying that. Except jerks like you. The words used above are those of the USADA and are unequivocal, as is the sanction. I appreciate that a sub-normal intelligence like yours doesn't grasp what this means. But keep your lips glued to Salazar's *rse, by all means. The sport really needs more doping apologists.
I love how I'm reading about this on a TUESday.
My questions are...
1. Is Konstanze Klosterhalfen clean?
2. Is Siffan Hassan clean?
3. Is Jordan Hasay clean?
4. Is Jessica Hull clean?
Hasay has been struggling with injuries. and the rest of the listed have had run some huge pbs this year.
This news is making me questioning everyone associated with NOP
This is a sad day. Not because I care for those involved but it just proves that to compete at almost any level nowadays one has to dope. If anyone here thinks this ends with NOP group and pro runners well then...
Only one 'athlete' from NOP violated anti-doping rules.
Hilarious. And it wasn't even a real athlete.

This is like asking if Salazar was trafficking in drugs for himself.
You all need to learn to read. He only doped his son and Magness. All what he did with his athletes was legal.
Who was better?
Solinsky
Tegenkamp
Cragg
Non-doped Rupp
Non-doped Farah

yeah right, LOL.
This whole thing is basically the equivalent of Al Capone getting convicted of tax fraud because the government couldn't prove all the more sinister stuff against him.
Al Sal and Al Cap, both pretty good at covering their tracks but not quite good enough.

Wrong. In a statement the USADA has said Salazar had been “orchestrating and facilitating prohibited doping conduct” while head coach of the Nike Oregon Project. That makes it clear what he did wasn't legal.
What a soft take by LRC. Imagine they reported on this with the same prejudice they did on Semenya. Sounds like collusion!
Quick Take: The CEO of Nike, Mark Parker, was involved
In July 2009, after Salazar had conducted an experiment rubbing testosterone in the form of Androgel on his son to determine how much would trigger a positive test, Brown emailed Nike CEO Mark Parker to inform him of the results. Parker responded with the following message:
“Jeff, Thanks for the update on the tests. It will be interesting to determine the minimal amount of topical male hormone required to create a positive test. Are there other topical hormones that would create more dramatic results . . . or other substances that would accelerate the rate of absorption into the body?”
Why would the CEO of Nike be involved with this? Very unusual to say the least.
This is the quote on the letsrun.com article... couple of things. Nike is a massive business, yet a Doctor from NOP can e-mail the CEO directly, and the CEO replies like this.... this is absolutely mental. There is no danger normal employees can e-mail the CEO and have friendly conversations. People that have been there 15-20 years may not have even spoke to him but here is a back and forth e-mail about testosterone dipping between a CEO and the NOP Doctor. This is nuts....
Mark Parker the CEO is fully complicit.
You also don't know the extent that Nike dictated the outcome here. It's very possible that the deal AS cut was to accept this 4-year ban and that the language would be carefully crafted by Nike lawyers so no real athletes would be implicated. It's truly implausible that a non-doctor was injecting controlled substances into his children and colleague just to fulfill his noble interests in how the body metabolizes substances. The local OR DA office better open up an investigation because this is a blatant base of someone practicing medicine without a medical license.
