huh? she wasn't going to win the heat if she stayed boxed in and had no way out. she pushed her way out, which isn't allowed.
No material impact. THe top 4 of that race got in anyway. The standard we got yesterday was no DQ. They SHOULD NOT DQ. It's like pass interference. If the pass is uncatchable, you pick up the flag. I'm going to go CRAZY if she gets DQd. I'll lead the racism charge.
Everyone in that heat got in. You don't DQ. Just give her a warning.
Seemed like a substantial push to me. Momentum seemed to be lost for the other chick.

**** Craig. Craig Masback wants Nakaayi DQd.. If they DQ Nakaayi, I'm going to be irate. No way Craig.
Yes she pushed the crap out of people. No material impact in my mind. Based on yesterday's standard, there was no material impact. She was going to win that heat no matter what. And it didnt impact the other order of finish.
What's cowexcrement (funny you can swear and use profanity but we can't) is that you think she would have got out the box without pulling and pushing. You saw Sum shut the door on the straight before. Not sure who you are putting the show on for.

Those two are not similar situation, and a comparison does not make much sense. However, nakaayi pushed several times at the allowed limit, but never enough to interupt the pace of other runners. I belive she will not be dq.
Lavillinie out in mPV.

One push would be fine but she was pushing for a good 50m. DQ I say.
It's not clear what's not allowed any more.
In the 5000, you can run inside the line for a while.
In the 800, you can punch your way through to break a box. That could really change the sport.
The others ran fast enough to qualify as well. Let her run.
This Rojo was of course nothing like yesterday.
The world is very happy that you are not deciding these matters.
Give Nakaayi a shuffle and you have a bulldozer.
(Compared to Jakob where the touch was only AFTER he had passed Balew)
I guesstimate a DQ, and rightly so, because if this is allowed, we've introduced tackling into running.
Lets go Obiri and Rosemary, Sifan Hassan is no match for u......
The reason why it's okay is because there already was a gap between the two runners at the front. Her light push just extended that. It's not like she was breaking up two runners who were right next to each other. Goule should have run closer on the inside next to the leader instead of letting this sizeable gap open which was extended by the push to be able to pass.
Goule did not seem to be in her usual shape, saying the push is what made her underperform is not exactly right. A Goule in normal shape would have crushed this heat without any problems.

Going to?
+1.
Your comments show that you're already tripping Rojo.

He didn't say he 'wanted' her DQed, just that he thought it was DQ worthy. And I tend to agree. All contact both on backstretch and home was initiated by her. She's tiny but not so small as to navigate thru that small of an opening.
What is happening to the sport. Since when is this much grabbing, passing on the inside, etc tolerated? I don’t care if there is no material impact. This crap shouldn’t be allowed. If Jakob wasn’t DQed then I agree with it DQing her. But they both should be. This is track, not (american) football.
....and you would just give her a warning? Is that such a thing? Did Jakob get his DQ yesterday reduced to a warning. Never heard of that as an option.

Compare it to Filip Ingebrigtsen's DQ in Rio.
Much much less of a contact, still DQ.
This was as blatant as I've ever seen.
Roller derby 800 might be a future event, but yet to come on the program.
Shame if she is rightfully DQed though as she looks faster than everyone else..
I'm not sure if all of the gender equity people who pushed for the mixed gender 4 x 400 are going to like how it looks on TV when peole don't run the same sexes on each leg. That Japanese woman got worked.
