Things I'm more concerned about now.
Extreme hot summers / cold winters;
More rain / more drought --- flooding destroying house;
High winds - blowing out windows / property damage / injuries;
Fires - big concern about house burning down, though I live in a moderately sized coastal city;
Food shortages;
Water shortages - rationing and/or the city turning off the water supply;
People getting more crazy due to changes, crazy driving, fights, home invasions, people looking for food.
So far things have been okay and/or fine around here, but based on all the things happening elsewhere, I'm concerned.
The above is exactly the issue. The only thing anyone concerned can do is mitigate any of the above by doing what they can, but it would take EVERYONE ON EARTH doing everything possible to even slow this down a small percentage at this point. We are screwed, in other words, and history will not shine favorably upon us. We, and everyone before us following the industrial revolution, are collectively the ones who were 'so blind,' in other words.
And also, if you have grandkids, tell them to apologize to their kids for conflicts that will make wars over oil or religion look like elementary school recess by comparison.
Opiods, guns, Muslims, Brown Men are nothing compared to what is right around the corner.
