Super post, sir. I would only make one critique: finish with the following statement:
What’s he on? He is on the track, bustin his a** six hours a day.

Nominee for most entertaining post of the year. It ticks all the boxes:
- Parent of athlete getting righteous.
- angry shots fired at jo bros
- Lance Armstrong style (I've been tested so much but never failed a test) arguments
- a claim that this somehow wasnt getting off on a technicality.
All around, funny enough to make my past five minutes.
+1 nomination. This is amazing.
Wow, you must lead a pretty boring life to be that easily amazed.
4 beyond obvious points are put in a post and you find that amazing?
You're wife must think you're quite a catch to get that amazed over things that aren't even close to amazing. Wow!
Agreed. I think every poster (including me) on the site is an idiot but there are reasons I keep coming back.

Look, I don’t know if CC is doping and don’t have an opinion but the story about him getting tested after his 60m wr is disingenuous. You HAVE to get tested within like 24 hours to get a WR ratified. Anyone who sets a record is immediately begging to be tested. Who would give up a world record ?
Emma Coburn.
That was a USA female record.
9. Won’t trick me twice
In July 2014 Emma Coburn dipped under the American steeplechase record for the first time, running 9:11.42 in Glasgow – except it never was. In 2015 it was officially rubbed out as a record mark because Coburn wasn’t told she needed to take a post-competition drug test for it be declared a record.
She had no intention of repeating the error and at the 2016 Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, even arranging with the meet director to ensure a post-race drug test would be available. With that lined up, all that remained was for her to run the time.
https://spikes.iaaf.org/post/emma-coburn-us-recordGreat post and response, Mr. Coleman. Notice how Rojo backed down when a real man called him on his B.S. Thank you for saying what many of us have thought for years. Good luck to you and your son.
PS This post will probably get deleted, but I hope you see it before it goes.
Rojo is racist by questioning Christian Coleman but not Paula Ra wrote:
Rojo is jealous that he was never good enough to make it as world class runner. Not only jealous but racist as well. Rojo, give it up man. You lose. Why are you not suspicious of Paula Radcliffe? Because she's white?
I nominate this for dumbest post of the day. What is the name of the game in the year 2019? If you can't beat someone on the merits of an argument, then just label them as a racist bigot or homophobe so people will ignore the logic and go on emotion.
The idea that I'm suspicious of someone because they are black is absurd. The reality is this website was barely two years old and I was told that Alberto Salazar hated me and this website because we allowed talk about alleged drug usage at Athletics West to be discussed on this board. Over the years, the amount of drug discussions about Salazar/Galen Rupp has been all over this board. Last time I checked, Rupp was white.
My demand that Coleman be tested every day comes as a frustrated fan. I mean why should we believe in any of this crap anymore? If someone was tested every single day, then maybe I'd start to believe in it.
I know a drug test every day isn't practical but you could do a urine test every day.
And whoever posted that Conte clip did an excellent job.

You're wife must think
You must be new here, Karl has stated quite clearly he is a open homosexual.
I am new here, but my point still stands whether he is or isn't a homosexual.
I doubt that's his real name, so I'd guess that he's quite possibly pulling your chain. But...my point on his post still stands, that's not anywhere near amazing.
I agree with him on comparing Christian to the ex Toledo coach. Although unless I'm wrong what Kevin did doesn't make him a sex offender, although definitely a scumbag. That comparison is uncalled for and has nothing to do with the doping allegations. Cue Kevin coming on for a response in 3, 2, 1... Seriously every time the guys name is mentioned even on a semi-anonymous board he can't help but respond. Most would have the good sense to go away and shut up.
But the other comparisons are fair. Lance passed how many tests in his career? A lot more the Christian. No world-class track athlete is above suspicion, especially one who missed 3 tests in a year. Although a couple of these did genuinely sound like carelessness and not test dodging.
As far as him getting off on a technicality call it what you will. But it was a stupid dating method setup by incompetent beurocrats some may call it a technicality some may not. If you have to explain to the public that the 3 tests although in a 12 month period don't count within a year because one of the testers showed up to administer the test at 7:55 but for some reason it took them 6 minutes to call Christian which took it one minute outside of the window which caused the test to be dated differently than the others I think interpreting it as a technicality is reasonable.
She had no intention of repeating the error and at the 2016 Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, even arranging with the meet director to ensure a post-race drug test would be available.
So in other words, Coleman DIDN"T ensure his 60m WR had an immediate post-race drug test like Emma went to the troubles, for even a minor thing like USA women's steeplechase record!! Instead he WAITED until a dodgy 2am self-desired diner peeing. Is it any wonder track is so cynical?
Now guess which one says "immediate", and which one says "24 hours"...??
World Records (USATF 260.5, IAAF 260.3e)
USATF adheres to IAAF Competition rules for drug testing and record ratification. World Records (events recognized by IAAF) must be ratified via drug testing for U20 (formerly Junior) and senior level athletes immediately after completion of the athlete's event.
American Records (the rules (even back then) actually say "at the end of the event", but the USATF guide says within 24 hours FSR)
American Records (events outlined in USATF Competition Manual) for senior level athletes must be ratified via drug testing within 24 hours of the completion of the athlete’s event. This does not apply to youth, U20 and master level events.

Backed down? I didn't back down at all. I just explained the thought process of everything. When you are recording a podcast live, you don't get time to edit your arguments so I was explaining why I want a test every day and why I talked about the Hadsell post. The fact that Hadsell posted in the thread was amazingly entertaining and I wanted to share it with our podcast listeners. Most people aren't on page 5 of a thread so I wanted to share with them an amazing post from the messageboard.
I never said Coleman had anything to do with sexual misconduct. I was just using the argument made by Hadsell that passing drug tests doesn't mean much. The fact that Hadsell made the argument is something I shared as I imagine most people found it to be fascinating.
My job is mainly to curate all of the info that is out there about running and share the most entertaining/newsworthy news I find. His post definitely fits that bill.
rojo blabbed: And whoever posted that Conte clip did an excellent job.
You mean jamin??
jamin wrote: Victor Conte blew the whistle on the "missed tests loophole" years ago
Rojo, if Coleman was paying just like Radcliffe did, you wouldn't be so adamant about this drug testing. You are just like any politician who is bribed. If Alberto Salazar and Nike paid you, you would be down on your knees massaging Alberto's balls.
Sure they are likely to change the rules now, but the fact of the matter is Christian Coleman has stayed within the rules.
Yep, just like the NFL Patriots, and their Haters get all wound up when NFL football changes the rules on the competition committee to plug the new loophole that was exploited the previous year.

The other thread cover this. The tester was correct not to start any action in the last 5 minutes of the 60-minute window. Next time, maybe he'll head out early to avoid traffic delays.

Yeah, that doesn't sound really fishy (wink). I wonder if thirty-two dollar tea was offered to make the paper read as 8:01?
What seems more probable is 6:55 arrival and 7:01 testing attempt... for a 7-to-8 whereabouts window.
Maybe some convenient jiggery-pokery with Daylight Savings or Time Zones.
And what up with that 7 to 8 whereabouts window? Why so late?
