You never ran in college so you have no idea the level of maturity it takes. Coaches have to shape boys into men. The athletes should not be throwing a temper tantrum after a bad race and they should not be acting like clowns after a good race. You can have fun with without being disrespectful to your competitors.
But you never made it off of your JV team, and you certainly never won a race. So you wouldn't know that.
Ok man, go ahead and personally attack random dude on letsrun. Kick noah lyles talent off "your" team for celebrating more than you think is appropriate. Hope you have a good backup plan to coaching. Ive met noah lyles and he is a genuinely good dude.
Does he have an immature persona on his social media? yes. Does that make him any less of a good runner? no. He was fast in HS and he has put in the work to reap the rewards now. ive met the man and he is actually really nice and is just out here doing what he loves and doing it damn well. If he wants to act silly then let him. He has that right and its not harming anyone. Maybe it helps him relax and settle nerves on the global stage. He's a kid for gods sake and under a lot of pressure for a 20 year old. Acting the way he does, referencing anime, and being goofy probably helps him take the seriousness out of the situation and just remind him he is doing something he loves and not let his nerves get the best of him
