Okay can we agree that the biggest winner so far is Nike? Seriously all their athletes are dominating.
Americans will be completely left in the dust at Doha. A bunch of wimps.

Maybe we are but the fact is, you can't get to World's without the standard. If he got 6th in 13:18, at least we know he went for it. Maybe his coaches told him to stay back and draft, idk, but it's hard not to see him capitalize on that opportunity.
How much more money does he make getting 3rd over 6th? Might have been more worth it to finish top 3 in a championship than getting 6th.
But the money he makes making a world team will make that cost difference negligible. It's a high risk, high reward, but I think if he helped the pace, it would have been the same top 3. The chase pack would have had to work way too hard. They spotted over 50 meters at one point.
Dezerea Bryant, Brittany Brown, and Angie Annelus are your women's USA 200m team in Doha
I'm referring to the 1500m men, of course.
yes!!
Dezerea Byrant has finally made a chamionship team!
yes!
She has to work so much harder because of her height!
If she were taller, she we would be one of the best in the world.

Engels with the win.
But great run by Centro considering he hasn't been racing that much this year. He is looking stronger.
If Centro had the lead at the top of the stretch, I think he would’ve won. It was close enough between him and Engels that positioning was what it came down to; I think it says a little bit about Centro’s current fitness that he wasn’t able to play out his normal tactical skills and take over at the bell. Hopefully he’s fitter by time world’s rolls around.
Let’s appreciate Centro’s consistency though, at outdoor USA’s since 2011 he’s placed:
1st, 2nd, 1st, didn’t compete, 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd.
Hopefully Engels isn't pissed at Worlds when he has to face non-American runners. In all seriousness, he ran a good race. Centro will round into form. I've always liked Ben but it's tough seeing people finish higher & not get to go.
What in the world are you talking about. It was a JOKE of a 1500m. Another 3:44-3:45, so typical of Americans to think that is good when the rest of the world considers 3:28-3:31 to be good. What a bunch of WIMPS!

NOP for the win. Centro is a shell of his old self. Way to go, Jerry.
Lol. Centro running at 80% of where he'll be in Doha. Engels ran the race of his life.
Count me in as a Centro fan, but I think Engels has just been healthier this year and is also plain fit. Centro’s had issues that have set him back for sure but Engels pulled that 3:51 at Pre with a crazy last 100m. That’s not luck.
Anybody know what happened to Gabby T? Did they say on the broadcast?

Josh Thompson is the second BTC athlete to finish 3rd without the standard today
I didn't know anything about him. Look at the OSU website and Milesplit and saw he was a good miler in college but did little of note in HS (assuming milesplit has his best times). Milesplit shows HS prs of 1:59, 4:27, 9:29, and 17:00 - that should provide a bit of motivation to a lot of HS athletes with modest PRs.
Lyles 19.78. FTW
Ameer Webb finishes 3rd but misses IAAF standard by .05.
That was a given that Noah would win 200m
Christian is the master at 100m
Noah is the master at 200m.

Nothing is a given.
Maybe it's just me but I feel like Lyles can run a 43 400
