Her PR would have her in 2nd currently. Clearly not a successful meet. Failure is accurate.
She shouldn't be shaking up her friends and family for money for a meet that the federation would pay for. That is called fraud.

You're trying too hard, bro. The kid came in ranked 17th on the U.S. list and missed the eight-woman final by three inches. Nothing there to criticize, much less refer to as a "failure".
Got it?
Not your Bro, Bruv.
The OP is clearly referring to her bullshit GoFundMe campaign, in which she mis-represented her economic circumstances as well as her prospects. Anybody objecting to this disingenuous behavior is a hater?
Your IQ continues to drop.
People can spend their money however they please. You sound like a socialist.

So Houlihan closes a a 4:03 race in 60.6. Muir just closed a 348 race in 57. If Team USA wants a meadl, they need to get fitter.
As for the steeple, Bayer said if you make the team you've got a good shot at making the final and a medal as well to be honestly. Nothing about that last lap looked like a medal to me for team usa. I know it's hot as hell but 60.6 final lap isn't going to get you a medal in a men's steeplechase.
Why do we go through this every year? Muir and Hassan run out of their minds during the season, then fade in championship races.
Simpson will be there as usual.
I heavily agree with scorpion here! Okay, good job you can close a 3:58 race in 57 almost three months out from worlds. What can she actually do in October at the final when it actually counts and matters the most?
Both Hassan and Muir have only proven they can run fast when it doesn’t count the most...
When it counts the most Simpson has CONSISTENTLY proven she can perform at the best. Worlds are still a good chunk of time away neither Houlihan nor Simpson are worried in the slightest. Rojo slow your roll you are acting like worlds are next week they have plenty of time to get fit and actually peak it right.

This is correct.

Mcneal the olympic champion and diamond league champion isn't in top form yet. She hasn't looked too good. Nia Ali is in excellent form though.
Mcneal is the only one who can beat Harrison, so if she is not in top form to do so, then I think harrison will get another national title.
I'm rooting for mcneal
But I can see it going:
harrison
ali
mcneal
Nelvis/Clemons
makes no sense how deep we are in this event.
Just as I predicted!.
harrison, ali, mcneal.
Harrison always wins nationals, but can she win worlds? Ali is in good form. Mcneal is not even close to top form, will be ready for Doha.
This is america's best team for sure. The right women are going.
Does come back and run the 5k Sunday?

Sorry vegans, Norman and Benjamin shown eating burgers!!
And Norman LOST.
Kendricks put on a clinic today. Clean all the way.
43.79 is all Norman had today into that home straight head wind and after the 44.03 yesterday.
Kerley was just better. He was more relaxed at the finish yesterday when Norman put effort into edging him out. Gave Norman a butt tap that said "see you tomorrow."
The lesson for Norman is: respect the opposition and save energy for the final, while keeping lane strategy in mind.

Not really. :)
Don't need to be perfect when you jump 6.06AR :D

He was clean when I typed that, and through until he won... but yes, that AR is a much bigger deal now. Awesome vault. The other guys mobbing him was cool to see too.

Tara Davis currently 4th in bad flight of LJ. She's taken 3 jumps, might get passed by a few more in this flight. Unless people collapse in the good flight, she's not making the final.
She just turned 20... chill out with the hate.
She acts like she’s 5. Until she grows up, she deserves all of the hate she gets.

Sorry colorrunner but I had to bump this
The crow I am eating is delicious.
Bit of trivia. Nikki Hiltz ran for Aptos High school in Santa Cruz County. Maggie Vessey ran for Soquel High School about 7 miles away, (10-12 years earlier.) Brett Gotcher (5th in the Olympic Trials marathon) also ran for Aptos High School.
During the time that Maggie was running the 200 & 400 (around 1999-2000) there was a runner (1600-3200) named Alejandra Barrientos who competed for San Lorenzo Valley in the same league. She had the best form I've ever seen. She was the California State 1600 champion and the High School runner of the meet at the Penn Relays one year. On the anchor leg of the 4 X400 at the CCS championships I saw her run stride for stride with Maggie. Maggie had beautiful form also.
Shannon Rowbury was running for Sacred Heart in S.F. at that time and barely beat Barrientos at Crystal Springs at the CCS XC championships. Alejandra Barrientos buried Sara Bei (Hall) at that State 1600 final. Unfortunately Barrientos went to UCLA and faded from the running scene. I thought she would have made the Olympic team in the 5K if she had stuck to running.
Vanessa Fraser (Scotts Valley High) who runs in the 5K tomorrow, competed against Nikki Hiltz in XC and track. Nikki beat her at every distance. I think Vanessa was, and still is, a great runner. She was a two time State Champion in XC (division 4) Nikki ran D3.
Santa Cruz County has had a lot of great distance runners to watch.

Felix beats two girls and she is a story. I hope she declines being in the relay pool , there will pressure to give he a spot in the prelims and maybe even the finals.
Are you kidding me? In her 2nd race this year she makes the final and has 2 months to get fitter.....there is also that little part about her being close too if not GOAT US 4x4 relay leg.....why on earth wouldn’t you want her on the relay?
Rojo and you sound like my grandfather. The window of what makes someones an "acceptable athlete" for "our sport" closer more and more each year. Eventually we wont be able to run anyone at all, but its ok, because "purity."

Actually he did make the team in the relay pool just like Allison Felix.
