Saw it. Deleted it. See how easy that was?
Why didn't you report it a year ago?
Yet again, Malmo, you care more about the flaws of the people pointing out the problem rather than the problem itself.
What's wrong with you? You pointed it out. Thank you. It's been deleted. End of story.,[/quote]
here's very clearly why it is not "End of Story"
I have reported many vile posts and you have refused to delete them, even after many posts have been created pointing them out again and again. Often you openly mock the person pointing them out. Here is an example that has now been up for almost a year. It goes into great detail about how to kill liberals in this country. It was reported...and ..post after post pointing it out were deleted...and deleted....and deleted...and deleted. What is your explanation?
still proudly alive and kicking on Letsrun.......unlike the many posts that complained about it.

Correct. I understand the intent behind deleting posts that question moderation tactics, though the logic is flawed, and actually encourages trolling. For example, if someone posts something inflammatory, and a well-reasoned post questioning that posts existence is deleted, then such moderation behavior doesn't encourage someone to respond in a well-reasoned way. They will troll, or respond in an equally inflammatory way, or simply try to derail the conversation.
Unless something changes, eporting the post or emailing the leadership isn't always the answer either. 1) nothing may happen to the post. 2) the reporting function, and the entire board forum, isn't adequate 3) Even if something does happen, leadership isn't going to have the time or the inclination to have a conversation about what occured. 4) Deleting a "questioning" post shuts down the possibility of a healthy conversation about moderation tactics, and that conversation is where solutions are found. As have been found on this thread. And which wouldn't have been found if those conversations were shut down.
I'm questioning the behavior, not the character, of moderator behavior and policies. If you want the tenor and nature of board threads to change, the answer lies in changing moderator behavior and policies. Top-down leadership.
