The people trying to impeach Trump are the ones who are committing treason by going against the president. If the majority of the public feel that way, then you will be correct.
Right now, polls say the majority of the public agree with an impeachment inquiry.
The only polls that matter are the votes cast next November.
So, you can keep saying things like that for the next year if he isn't removed.
I have a couple thoughts on this.
First, its a very weird thing to say, "are the ones committing treason by going against the president". I could see some statement about impeachment not being founded but to associate going against the president with treason is truthfully disturbing to me. Mostly disturbing because I believe the poster is being earnest. Trump is not the king. Its treasonous when you go against your country, not when you go against the president. Its dangerous to conflate the two.
I believe, fairly or not, Bernie's heart issue will cause a great his drop in the polls for him. He is out of it. I go back and forth on whether Trump's Biden attack will hurt Biden. The constant association to corruption, whether accurate or not could have an effect. It creates some baggage. Probably more so in the general than the primary. But as you imply, Trump is very wounded and a very weak candidate. So it might not make a meaningful difference.
I think as the election draws closer to reality, the more radical protest candidates will lose popularity to the more moderate candidates. I think one of the more moderate 2nd tier candidates, will surprise with a stronger showing than expected.
The more Trump tweets and speaks the more he is revealed to be completely unhinged and irrational. It wouldn't shock me if this continues that the Republicans become very conflicted about his nomination.
If Warren moves a bit to the left she will be very strong. She has been smart not to alienate any Democrats supporting other candidates. Its still Biden's to lose though, which he can. Warren might be hurt in the next debate by Gabbard. Gabbard has already dropped some hints that she doesn't see Warren as having commander-in-chief qualities.
Trump is despised as a nasty guy, that might work to whomever presents as the opposite - Biden?
