New PB at the BMC in Loughborough. Turned 17 last month. Ethan Husssey goes in the b race later.

Wow, that’s quick for a 17 yo white guy!
For reference, a full second faster than Webb was in HS and Webb didn't run faster until he was 21.

Sad that he is likely cheating with PEDs.
I heard this kid will be MUCH BETTER than Wilson Kipketer, Sebatian Coe or even David Rudisha ever were, Johnny Gray ran 1:44.00 or faster 28 times and under 1:45.00, 65 times this kid will go under 1:43.00 over 50 times.

This reminds me of someone saying in 1967 after Jim Ryun ran a 3:51.1 mile "here is a man who will surely one day break 3:25 for 1500m." (I'm not sure who said or wrote this, but it was quoted in Athletics Weekly in 1997 in one of those "on this day, 30 years ago" things)
Granville’s HS best was 1:46.45. Burgin is now close to that.
Granville’s lifetime best is 1:46.45.
That is really, really fast

Impressive. Even more impressive is the fact that he's been legitimately tested more in the last year than ANY E. African. Why is that?

That was a young Ventolin.
What do you think of this nickname for Max Burgin NO HYPE NECESSARY?
No need to hype him, his times will speak for themselves.
Looking v smooth

He could well do so, but I think him and his dad/coach have plans for the 1500m too. He ran a 3:47 in his only 1500 last year.
Ethan Hussey was in the same race yesterday and came in 4th with a 1:50. He is a year younger than Max.
I think Max is now 6th in the UK rankings this year after that one outing (and he was coming back from injury). Looks like he could get close to 1:45 flat this season at barely 17.

No more clean than any other "prodigy" in a dirty sport.
He is a boy still:
Posting a video from a year ago when he looks every bit as old as Amos Bartelsmeyer but is allegedly 16 doesn’t really sway me.

Hahahaha
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
