I agree. Why does Huddle make everyone's top 3? She is 7th on the trials qualifying list. Her time is closer to Roberta Groner(?) than being in the top 3.
Not 100% saying she should firmly be in everyone's top-3 but she is the AR holder at 10k and the half marathon. She dominated the 10k for years. Daniels converts her 30:13 10k to 2:19:20. She clearly has untapped potential at the marathon. She has run 4 of them now and really only has tried to run fast in one of them. It didn't go great but it's impressive that not great for her is 2:26 (just like Taylor). I'm gonna take her at her word that she was off that day for whatever reason. She is clearly talented enough to get into the top-3.
An (incomplete) list of Trials Contenders: Hasay, Cragg, Sisson, Taylor, Hall, Flanagan if she runs/gets healthy, Huddle, Tuliamuk, Linden, Kieffer, Bates, Bruce, Jorgensen, Tabb, Nukuri, Kipyego.
I don't think anybody has been consistent enough to make them a lock. You have to like Hasay but I honestly would not be surprised to see any of these runners in the second or third spot. It's not ridiculous to put Huddle in there based on her past.
