Yeah, the about 8-second difference on the last lap is the difference of a man over a woman.
Castor is also not a biological man either. She obviously is expecting a negative decision from the IAAF and is looking to move up to a distance that doesn't have the testosterone limits. I don't see anything wrong with that. It's an unfortunate situation and it looks like she is trying to play by the rules. It's not clownish in the least.

Look up MN high school XC & MN high school 800m results from fall, 1980 to spring, 1982. You'll see a few guys, sub-14:55 three mile XC &/or sub-15:40 5K XC; same guys sub-1:55 800m.
