KING CHES IS BACK BABY!!!!
-
Damn, 13:08 is absolutely rolling. And 13:10 runner up ... competitive race.
-
It's nice to see Chek running fast again
-
Big PB for him. I hope that we will see him running this summer.
-
Wow.
EBor now becomes a favorite to make the 5k team for Doha.
And HBor could upset Jager in the Steeple. (Not to mention Kebenei) -
We know he's not in top shape yet, as he was well behind his shape in the mile, as he said--having had a break from training or at least inconsistent training in the winter. Sub 13 outdoors for sure this year with health.

What about me? I am unquestionably ABor. -

I can't see him beating Jager in the Steeple, but yes great run for him. -
Right now, missing from action:
Evan Jager
Paul Chelimo
Eric Jenkins
Ryan Hill
Centro
Hassan Mead
Chris Derrick
Robby Andrews ain’t looking so good. Don Cabral is running marathons.
New guys on the seen:
Bors, Ferlic, mcGurty, Engels.
Gonna be a whole new show!! -
Chelimo is running NYC half, Derrick is running in Atlanta this coming week, Jenkins pulled out of USXC, Centro has not raced since US5K, Hill ran a 5000 in Boston a few weeks ago, Jager is coming off injury, nothing from Mead since the summer.

And a lot of runners don't care about Indoors. -
Does this bode for a sub 13 this summer for Ches?
-
Cheserek full on ran into someone he was lapping with maybe 3 laps left. Probably cost him a second as he basically came to a stop.
It was a horrible move too, he passed on the inside as a guy who was moving wide to lap someone, then collided with the next guy as he ran out of room. -
Ches sub 13?? wrote:

Yes, of course it does. IF....he stays healthy. He could likely do it next month in the right race.
He's been showing sub 13 talent for awhile. Great to see him (hopefully) fully realizing all of that talent and hard work. -
Peaking indoor as usual.
-
BU 5ks > USA Indoors?

On the mens side, 13:08 is certainly more competitive than the mile (a bit unfair as it was tactical), 2 mile, or 1000m times from usatf indoors. I wont attempt to compare it to the 600m down.
On the womens side, the 15:07 is not a clear winner over USATF indoors, instead I would rank is about equivalent to the mile times for the usatf women. The USATF 2 mile was probably better by a tiny bit, especially considering she closed in 30.
